Column Layout Grid for Product Listing
How do I add the product listing in columns to my configuration/product listing? I've downloaded the "column layout grid for Product Listing" (I believe that would be the needed additional add-on) but now I'm stuck. I'd like to list my products so they are displayed as 3-4 images next to each other with the title in small font below.
I'm using zen cart 1.3.8a, the zen template "lavender". My URL is http://fashionfoot.net
Thanks for any help you can give me

Re: Column Layout Grid for Product Listing
If you've installed the module correctly, you should have an option under Admin > Product Listing titled Product Listing - Layout Style, which can be set to either columns or rows, and another setting titled Product Listing - Columns Per Row
-
Re: Column Layout Grid for Product Listing
Hmm, I must have done something wrong but can't figure out what it is. Looking through admin/product listing, neither of the above mentioned are an option to adjust the columns. Below is a description of what I've done.
I've started from scratch, deleted my current copy completely and re-installed zencart 1.3.8a. Within that version under /includes/modules I've uploaded and replaced the "product_listing" as well as /includes/template_default/templates/ uploaded and replaced "tpl_modules_product_listing"
Can you enlighten me what I still need to change? Txs for all the support
-
Re: Column Layout Grid for Product Listing
Never mind --- I've finally figured out. My mistake. Txs anyway!!!!

Re: Column Layout Grid for Product Listing
Hello again, I'm happy with the columns but now can't figure out where to go to increase the space between the rows. right now the images of the products almost touch each other. I assume it has something to do with "cellpadding". I have tinkered with the various files, but none of the cellpaddings that I have changed had an effect (i've changed it back to the original when it didn't work). Do you know which file I need to adjust? If it's not cell-padding, can you tell me how to do it? TXS!

Add this entry to your stylesheet.css file and adjust as desired
Code:
.listingProductImage {
margin: 2em 0em 0em 0em;
}

Re: Column Layout Grid for Product Listing
I read this post and would like to use "Column Layout Grid for Product Listing" on my zencart (for those reading this as well in the future, here is the link http://www.zen-cart.com/index.php?ma...products_id=77)
But, I am having problems installing it. Actually, i have not even attempted it because the instructions don;t correspond with my settings. I have ZC 1.3.8a and the read me file instructions say "(1) Copy the product_listing.php module file into the includes/modules/YOURTEMPLATE folder in your shop;"
No such folder exists for me. I am starting at the root directory of my server and going to "public_html/store/includes/modules/" but no folder for MYTEMPLATE exists in this arrea. I see "classic" "debug_blocks" "order_total" "payments" "shipping" but nothing which refers to my template folder.
My template folder is in /includes/templates/mytemplate
So, can someone please tell me what i am missing or what directions should I follow?
Thank you.

"YOURTEMPLATE" references what ever your your template name is and if you have not created one - Now is a good time to do so - even if you just copy the "classic" template files and edit the template_info.php with a unique name - there are many reasons to do this:

Re: Column Layout Grid for Product Listing
ZC 1.3.8a
Website: www.hugocruzgallery.com/shop
I installed Column layout Grid and followed the directions (changing Admin settings to coulmnar and 3 per row). However, for some reason, my product listings are still showing one per row. I searched the threads but could not find an answer.
Also, will this mod also add a columnar display for "ALL Products", "New Products" and all othe product listings? If so, then how do i configure the settings to do it to all pages? if not, then i will greatly appreciate any references and/or links to mods that will do columnar display on these other pages.
Can someone please help?
Thank you.

Re: Column Layout Grid for Product Listing
hugozc,
Switch to the classic template and see if you still have the issue
Will have to load the 2 files to the respective classic folders also

No it is not designed to do this as it is only for the product listing display.
By default, ZenCart has 4 different displays
There is a long thread that outlines what to alter to have one listing display type

Re: Column Layout Grid for Product Listing
Well it will be an overridden file in one of the /Wide-Template-2 folders that is breaking this function
My guess is that there is something amis in your /Wide-Template-2/css/stylesheet.css file but this is a guess

Re: Column Layout Grid for Product Listing
I am using the 1.3.8a (newest version) Zen.
I used the classic design and modified it to my custom design and named it classic2.
I installed the column grid and it is OK for the product display list, but I wanted it to show in columns for ALL PRODUCTS and NEW PRODUCTS as well.
I changed the picture size smaller in New Products thinking that was causing it, but that did not work. I turned off the descriptions in case that was overridding it... that did not work...
Now I see in this thread that it is not included in that module???? How Can I change it? Is it possible? Is there another module for it?
I have a huge inventory to list and one product per row at a time is not going to work.
Also, in product listings, (3 across in columns) when the description is under the picture, it is too close to the listing next to it, and when you try to read the words it sort of runs together across with the next listing... makes it hard to read. ...needs space between the columns. I thought this would be in the stye sheet- margin, padding... but I can't find the right one.
You can see what I mean....Here are the links.
ALL PRODUCTS
http://artsales.net/gallery/index.ph...e=products_all
NEW PRODUCTS:
http://artsales.net/gallery/index.ph...e=products_new
PRODUCT LISTINGS
http://artsales.net/gallery/index.ph...=index&cPath=8
Look at the first row descriptions.... "Acrey Art Specialty Note Cards with"
and it touches the next listing words .."Acrey Art Specialty Note Cards with" .... making it look like all one line.

Re: Column Layout Grid for Product Listing
Ok- here is an add on to my last message. I guess I am just too new to Zen... just 3 weeks into it...
I need to learn the Zen terminology. I see they use the "All Products" as an INDEX to the products....not the "main listing" for a product like what is under each category. (actually, after studying it more carefully, I do like this structure) Therefore, I have made the images smaller on the "All Products" section and moved the title, model# etc. to the right side of the image, thus making the rows shorter.
I will do the same for the New Products. Right now New Products seems to be a repeat of the index (ALL Products). Is there a way to limit the number of new products showing? OR are they all showing right now since I am just now doing an initial upload of all the products? After the site has been up for a while will it only show the new products for a given period of time after it is first listed?
Is all this covered in the tutorial book? looks like I should get it and read it before ask a question here.
***??????****
I still need to know where to correct the spacing/padding/margins between the column listings product descriptions so they don't appear to be one line that runs together across all three columns. I gather it is in the stylesheet. I have tried adjusting several settings, but have not found the correct one. Is this a style I need to ADD?
any help would be appreciated. Thanks... april_may

Re: Column Layout Grid for Product Listing
Here's a link for adding columns to the "all product" list:
http://www.my-whiteboard.com/ecommer...duct-list.html
Most of it makes sense to me except "3, Find out what configuration_group is PRODUCT_ALL_LIST:"
Anybody understand #3 and has anyone tried out this approach with success?

Re: Column Layout Grid for Product Listing
Hi everyone,
I am running ZC 1.3.7.1 (yes I know, I should upgrade, but it is so much work...) and the column griw for product listing.
Because not all my images have the same height/width ratio, they have different heights in the grid, the name of the product is right below it, so not all my names are on the same height: example:
Code:
xxxx-------xxxx------xxxx
xxxx-------xxxx------xxxx
NAME-------xxxx------xxxx
-----------xxxx------NAME
-----------NAME----------
With the X's being the image (sorry about the ASCII-art)
Is there any way to fix this? (apart from having to change all my images?
Thanks in advance,
Best

Not that I am aware of
Matting your images to a common sized "matte" is something that can be scripted in photoshop & others making this an easy fix

Hi I would really like some help with this column grid layout add on. I've installed the add on fine, but when I view my products in the specific category pages they sometimes line up perfectly but other times are all over the place. Try switching to the classic template and see if the issue persists.
I suspect that it is your template causing the issue

I switched to Classic Green template and i still had the same problem, it did seem to layout better at first but when I refreshed the images went all over the place.
I just have no idea with this one, usually I can find an answer in one of the forums, but this issue I just can't find an answer to!

Setup directly??? Don't know what that means???
Enable parse time display
admin > config > logging > display page parse time > true or 1
Refreshing seems to square this so that server taking too much time might be a partial cause??
-
Re: Column Layout Grid for Product Listing
OK I have enabled parse time display, and now it is displaying something at the bottom of my pages.

Re: Column Layout Grid for Product Listing

Re: Column Layout Grid for Product Listing
Kobra
I really don't think this is a template issue because when I changed to classic green, it still did the same thing. I do however think it is related to firefox, or the browser I am using. I tried the site on internet explorer recently and the images displayed perfect every time. But Firefox there is still a problem. I am yet to try other browsers but I think this is the issue. If that is the case, I still have no idea what to do to fix the problem though!

Re: Column Layout Grid for Product Listing
With your custom Template you do need to fix a coding error.
http://validator.w3.org/ is your friend when trying to sort odd ball problems.
Not saying that correcting the missing DIV will fix your current problem, but it helps troubleshooting any problem when you know you code is valid.

Are you able to tell me (or point me in the right direction) where I need to fix the code, sorry I'm very much a newbie at all this.

Re: Column Layout Grid for Product Listing
The link I provided is to an online Validator. You can use that to point out to whomever you got your Templated from and/or did custom coding for you, that there is a problem with the code.

Hi,
Your problem is being caused because the mod has not been installed correctly. One of the files is not in the right place, most like the tpl_modules_product_listing.php file. For your site it should be in the includes/templates/freetemplate3/templates directory.

Re: Column Layout Grid for Product Listing
Im having a similar problem to sarajewellery.
I have checked everything and everything is in the right place but the products dont list properly.
If I set it to show 3 columns of products it will show them in a way the the 3rd one (on the right) gets pushed down to the next line. Same as if I set to have 4 in a row, the 4th one is pushed down to the next line.

I am going to try and re-install the contribution and see what happens but just in case it stays the same my website address is above if someone could take a gander for me.
Thanks

Re: Column Layout Grid for Product Listing
Ok, quick update
I tried to remove the mod so I could re-install it.
I used the sql statement supplied
Code:
delete from configuration where configuration_key in('PRODUCT_LISTING_LAYOUT_STYLE','PRODUCT_LISTING_COLUMNS_PER_ROW');
which seemed to work.
Now, I went to install the mod again. copied over files via ftp, imported the SQL statement to phpmyadmin and got this error message..
Code:
SQL query: Documentation
INSERT INTO configuration( configuration_title, configuration_key, configuration_value, configuration_description, configuration_group_id, sort_order, last_modified, date_added, use_function, set_function )
VALUES (
'Product Listing - Layout Style', 'PRODUCT_LISTING_LAYOUT_STYLE', 'rows', 'Select the layout style:<br />Each product can be listed in its own row (rows option) or products can be listed in multiple columns per row (columns option)', '8', '40', NULL , now( ) , NULL , 'zen_cfg_select_option(array("rows", "columns"),'
);
MySQL said: Documentation
#1146 - Table 'lingerie_zc1.configuration' doesn't exist
So now im left not being able to have column layout at all.
Any help and beers are on me!
-
Re: Column Layout Grid for Product Listing
dropbop,
Using phpmyadmin - do your tables have a prefix?
If so as I suspect, the sql must address the correct table name
If a prefix of zc_table-name is used then
Code:
INSERT INTO configuration
becomes
Code:
INSERT INTO zc_configuration

Re: Column Layout Grid for Product Listing
I have just discovered that I have this problem also where if column layout is set to 3 columns, in some browsers, the 3 item drops down on to the next line.
I am running Zencart 1.3.8a on unix server (set to maintenance at the mo). Mods installed are zones tables rate, dual pricing and column grid layout. I am using a very slightly modified version of the classic template - in override folder called bolts. So far have just made tiny modifications to some colours, etc - nothing major as I'm waiting for more expert help with the bigger edits.
So far, my layout is showing perfectly in Google Chrome (the browser I use most often), it is showing the layout problem in both IE8 and Firefox.
I will be seeking more help on this one commercially but since it does seem to be a problem that is affecting a few people, hoping that an expert here might have some more clues on what to look for in the meantime.
cheers

It is the same problem I described above. One of the mod's files has not been installed correctly. This causes incorrect HTML to be generated and different browsers treat it in different ways.

Re: Column Layout Grid for Product Listing
OK, I have removed and re-installed the mod but still getting the same problem.
The files are in the right place as far as I can tell. I am using the classic template so put tpl_modules_product_listing.php into templates/classic/templates/ folder & product_listing.php in modules/classic/ folder.
The files have not been modified as they are direct from the contribution package.
This seems to be happening a bit too often to be a local problem. Maybe a guru could look at the mod and see if the problems lie with the mod.
To see whats happening you can take a gander at my site www.lingerie-delights.co.uk

Christian, Your a superstar!
Well spotted! I would never had thought that an addition to how atributes were layed out would have effected the prouct listing.
Just out of curiosity, if i create another stylesheet specificly for the product info page, will putting that code in have the same effect as before?
Cheers Christian,
Thanks for taking the time to look at the problem for me.

Hi, having the same template as sarah, i'm still also in the dark
may i ask what did the trick for you?
my grid just does not want to 'grid' :(
-
Re: Column Layout Grid for Product Listing
Hi,
I modified includes/modules/<my template>/product_listing.php in the following way:
The original version saves up the fields of one product, then adds it to the array $list_box_contents to be printed later. That way one gets alignment on product level, but not alignment on field level.
What I did is (say you chose 3 products per row) is save up the separate fields of three products, then print them field by field, with a separator div, full width, horizontally between the fields. This separator div takes care of horizontal alignment, the fixed width of the field div's of vertical alignment.
As far as I tested this leaves the row-display intact, if that option is selected.
It may still need some adjustment, because the price and the 'buy now' button are printed in the same field, and a special offer price pushes the button down.
You can check out the website below for an example.
I hope this was kind of clear....

My problem was that I did not copy over tpl_modules_product_listing.php and that was causing the grid to not line up properly.

i see you have more then columns in your site: http://www.chinesedingen.nl/, how is it possible?
i have installed this module:
http://www.zen-cart.com/index.php?ma...products_id=77
...but is no use.
i have noticed a script difference:
Where it says:
Upload the new product_listing.php to ZEN_CART_HOME_DIR/includes/modules/YOURTEMPLATE/product_listing.php
i do not have: YOURTEMPLATE
my template is to: ZEN_CART_HOME_DIR/includes/templates/YOURTEMPLATE
can anybody help?
thanks.
-
Re: Column Layout Grid for Product Listing
Hi,
This is what the instructions say:
(1) The module overrides just one file in the system - the file modified is ZEN_CART_HOME_DIR/includes/modules/YOUR_TEMPLATE/product_listing.php
(2) The template overrides just one file in the system - the file modified is ZEN_CART_HOME_DIR/includes/templates/YOUR_TEMPLATE/templates/tpl_modules_product_listing.php
@Sarah: this is where both files got placed, and do get executed.
@uncentaur:
For me, the folder <YOUR_TEMPLATE> did exist, both under includes/modules AND under includes/templates.
For your situation I guess you must create includes/modules/<YOUR_TEMPLATE> manually, as it was not created when you copied the template files. You can probably get the template name from some other place in the tree.
I hope this helped.

Re: Column Layout Grid for Product Listing
I'm having a problem with my products not lining up properly, and leaving random empty spaces between products. Also in the New Products bar (now disabled), I was too often getting strange links (discontinued or out of stock products with the wrong photos), multiple products with the same photo (not a naming problem). Decided to bury my head in the sand on that last issue, by disabling new products, but am feeling like this could be related to the general spacing issue. I am attaching a screen capture, as too often when looking at old posts, I only get the chance to see the screen after it is fixed. Before pix are quite helpful to verify that the problem being addressed looks like the one I am experiencing.
Anyway, I am u]sing v ZC1.3.8a, relatively new install, have added the modification to have products listed in columns rather than rows. My site is:
www.talismanjewellery.com.au/TJOnline/
Here is screen capture [URL="ftp://[email protected]/public_html/SCREEN_CAPTURE.tiff"]ftp://[email protected]/public_html/SCREEN_CAPTURE.tiff[/URL
I have searched and searched, and can't seem to find this most likely simple solution. I know I've made a lot of changes to my template in order to find this problem, and I'm thinking that something I did appeared to do nothing for my original problem but is causing me grief today. So this very well could be a css problem.
The odd bit is that it sometimes seems browser specific (more common on Mac Snow Leopard Safari, but still see it on PC Chrome and Firefox less frequently. Refresh sometimes makes problem go away
Not sure if I've answered everything in this post, but let me know if I am just overlooking something silly. Cheers, Sean
-
Re: Column Layout Grid for Product Listing
just realised that my screen capture did not work. I stuck it on my test domain so you can see what I mean, in case you are not seeing what I am seeing . . .
http://teknix.net.au/alignment.html
-
Re: Column Layout Grid for Product Listing
Part of the problem may be browser related. I took a quick glance at your site with IE6 and IE8 native mode, and I see no horizontal shifting. Nevertheless it should display the same in all browsers and that is probably a css problem.
What I do see is that the prices and buy now button's don't line up occasionally. This is because of the structure of printing. If the description is two lines, it pushes price and button downwards. If it's neighbour has a description of only one line, the two products don't line up anymore.
Some time ago I fixed this, by changing the page code so that it would print the 3 (or other number) of pictures first, then the 3 descriptions, then the 3 prices, etc.
I'll be happy to supply you with what I wrote, although I cannot guarantee it will work flawless.

Sounds great. I know what you mean, and wanted to fix that, but that was a low priority project. I agree to that this is likely a CSS issue. I'm thinking I changed a margin, or cell padding or something like that and the effect was not immediately noticed. Now I no longer have any idea what I did.
In a possibly related note, when I had the new products panel in the centre panel, and set the columns to four, just three products would display, and the fourth would wrap, and then on the next line the next three products, etc. I then changed the columns to three and I got two before the wrap, changed to two, and the products were in a single column, It definitely wasn't real estate related, because there was plenty or room to display all products -- to me this sounds almost like a forced right margin of some kind, but I can't figure out where it would be . . . hmmmmm
Thanks again for the offer of the horizontal alignment fix. Will install as soon as I receive, and let you know how it worked.

Re: Column Layout Grid for Product Listing
I'm quite ashame as I didn't document my changes well. But I'm reasonably sure that I modified only one file. So please save your old copy before overwriting it, and try it out on a test system first
The file should, after removing the .doc, be placed in includes/modules/<your template>
Please let me know how it works out!

Re: Column Layout Grid for Product Listing
boudewijn,
Fantastic! Love how this looks, another of my yet to figure outs as how to get the horizontal rule between rows on the category page, and now you've fixed that as well. This may be premature, but I've tested the other browsers and this may have fixed the main problem as well. Can't figure out why, as we were both convinced it was in the stylesheet. Need to test further. But in the interim, many thanks
-
Re: Column Layout Grid for Product Listing
I'm glad it helped you out! And you are right to give it some more thorough tests, as my tests focused on my use and not on all possible fields to display.
Taking a quick glance at the code, I see that I set the width of the columns to 99%, as an addition to the style class in CSS. I guess that made it fit. A bit of a workaround, but nevertheless it works :-)
The horizontal line was easy to fit in, as eventually, in the new code, the page is processed top to bottom. For the record: line 260 contains the <hr>.
I'll be happy to hear if you find any issues.

Re: Column Layout Grid for Product Listing
How can I change the number of rows displayed. When I go 3 columns there are 12 products displayed on 3 rows. When I go with 4 columns there are 8 products displayed on 2 rows.
I have about 650 products so I would like to display 4 columns with maybe 10-15 rows?
-
Re: Column Layout Grid for Product Listing
You cannot set the number of rows anywhere. But you can set the max number of products per page. The setting for this is in: Admin->maximum values->Products Listing - Number Per page. So in your case the value would be 4 x 10/15 is between 40 and 60.
I hope this helps,
Boudewijn

Assuming that we are talking about the "column-grid" module
Indirectly
admin > config > Product Listing > Product Listing - Columns Per Row
admin > config > Maximum Values > Products Listing- Number Per Page

Re: Column Layout Grid for Product Listing
Is it possible than customers can choose if they want to see the productlist in column grid or in row style
-
Re: Column Layout Grid for Product Listing
To my best knowledge that is not possible. It would require adjustment of the code and probably another option to allow visitors to have that option available or not.

Re: Column Layout Grid for Product Listing
I seem to be having the extra space problems too, agreed my pictures are different sizes. The first time I looked at it everything was fine but now when I look I get the spaces. I have used firefox 3.6 and IE8 and the result is the same. My site is www.kut4u.co.uk I am using Zen Cart 1.3.8a and the Column Layout Grid Version: 1.3.8 Author: stevefriedman71. If someone could help me out I would appreciate it.

Re: Column Layout Grid for Product Listing
You have padding on this huge list of elements, which is causing the products to be wider than the specified 32.5% and not all fit on one row:
Code:
.centeredContent, th, #cartEmptyText, #cartBoxGVButton, #cartBoxEmpty, #cartBoxVoucherBalance, #navCatTabsWrapper, #navEZPageNextPrev, #bannerOne, #bannerTwo, #bannerThree, #bannerFour, #bannerFive, #bannerSix, #siteinfoLegal, #siteinfoCredits, #siteinfoStatus, #siteinfoIP, .center, .cartRemoveItemDisplay, .cartQuantityUpdate, .cartQuantity, .cartTotalsDisplay, #cartBoxGVBalance, .leftBoxHeading, .centerBoxHeading, .rightBoxHeading, .productListing-data, .accountQuantityDisplay, .ratingRow, label#textAreaReviews, #productMainImage, #reviewsInfoDefaultProductImage, #productReviewsDefaultProductImage, #reviewWriteMainImage, .centerBoxContents, .specialsListBoxContents, .categoryListBoxContents, .additionalImages, .centerBoxContentsSpecials, .centerBoxContentsAlsoPurch, .centerBoxContentsFeatured, .centerBoxContentsNew, .gvBal, .attribImg {
padding:0.5em;
text-align:center;
}
Add to the bottom of your stylesheet
Code:
.centerBoxContentsProducts {padding: 0.2em;}

Re: Column Layout Grid for Product Listing
http://tomaruinc.com/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=1
That is the link to a product listing page. I don't know why, but the column layout grid is not working right on this site I'm designing. I've installed it on two other sites already and everything went smoothly but this time it's giving me problems.
Based on the results of the first two times I've installed this mod, the wt, item name, price, categories, etc. disappears once in column mode, but everything just seems to be under each other like they are blocks or something. If I'm not making any sense just look at the site.
I'm running zen cart 1.3.8a and I installed column_layout_grid_v_1_3_8.

Re: Column Layout Grid for Product Listing
How many columns per row do you have set?
It looks like you are missing a file, as the output is for the default rows layout (with cell headings), but it is displaying with the columns template.
What do you have in /includes/modules/your_template/product_listing.php?

Re: Column Layout Grid for Product Listing
Hi Glenn,
I have 3 columns per row set. I have product_listing.php and product_listing.php.bak in the the modules/my_template/ folder. I even copied the files from the other sites I successfully installed it in and still not luck.
My original thought was that I thought I was missing a file as well but I checked the zip package for the module like 10 times and all it contained was product_listing.php in modules and tpl_modules_product_listing.php in templates/my_template/templates folder.

Re: Column Layout Grid for Product Listing
Try comparing the file on your server with a copy fresh from the zip (use Winmerge or the like).
-
Re: Column Layout Grid for Product Listing
Okay, I will but do you think there's a possibility the error is within the sql file?

Re: Column Layout Grid for Product Listing
Okay, so I was testing it in Classic template and the grid works fine. So I figured I'd just copy the classic folder and make another template and start over from there. When I did that the same thing happened and everything was lining up under each other horizontally. I just don't get it because it is an exact duplicate of the Classic template and I didn't change anything except for adding product_listing.php and tpl_modules_product_listing.php into the right folders. What do you think the problem is?

Re: Column Layout Grid for Product Listing
I installed this, and it worked! YEAH! But I noticed that it doesn't seem to work when you look at "All Products" and "New Products". It only works when I am viewing each category page... is this correct? Thanks!

Re: Column Layout Grid for Product Listing
I have the column layout grid mod installed and have a question...I have it set to 3 column display...but I want to do something with the product listing page that requires the centerBoxColumnProduct class to remain the same width no matter how many columns there are....2 or 3....
For example here is a page that shows what the products should look like:
http://outdoorcookingdepot.com/outdoor-wok-kits
But this has 3 columns so it fits nicely....
but here I have only 2 columns so the CSS is all wonky....
http://outdoorcookingdepot.com/outdoor-woks
SO I need a way to either make the product listings all be the same size or fix the CSS to accomodate any size -whichever is easier....
Any ideas...I looked at the tpl_columnar-display.php file but am not sure what to do in there!
Thanks in advance!!!

I have installed the module, and now i can't find the 'settings' in the product listing...

i'm a bit puzzled..
in the developper tools i did try to find it, and it say's it's there, but it is not in the configuration..
and to be honest, i'm not so great in english and not so great in php, and even more a disaster in databases..
is this something somebody here also experienced? and iff so perhaps how do i solve it??
Greetings and happy egg-hunt

Re: Column Layout Grid for Product Listing
I'm having trouble with this one. Installed okay and finally got it listed but it only shows 3 across even when I have more product than that, same thing with subcategory, not all products showing.
I'm running 1.38, this mod, image handler and dg reviews. My site is jaceriisland.com
TIA,

Re: Column Layout Grid for Product Listing
I tried to add on the column layout, it's work!! Thanks for providing a easy add-on module.
BTW, I am trying to change the details alignment. The current version is :
"Image" <br> "price" <br><br> "..more info" <br><br> "product's name"
I would like change them to :
"Image" <br> "product's name"<br> "price" <br> "..more info" (it's good if this one can be image)
Any idea where to change the layout?

Re: Column Layout Grid for Product Listing
Hi, I still have the same problem re: the 3 column grid. Patty, could you (or anyone else) kindly expand on the meaning here of 'reinstalling' the product listing. Does this mean just uploading? - as we have done that but we still have the error. Thanks.

The original question in this post was solved by this person saying "Oh, nevermind! I fixed it!"
But I'm having the same issue and I can't find the solution to this, and they didn't say how they fixed it (thanks).
I'm sorry I'm a newbie and I'm not sure, first off, where exactly to install the files (what php directory). I installed them but when i go into Config>Product Listing, there is no "Layout Settings" option, so I can't change it to the grid view.
Can someone please help me with this? I'm putting up new products that really require them to be in a grid view instead of in big long rows.
