Hi

I want to collect credit card information, calculate shipping manualy and then process the credit in store on my credit card machine.

how can i do this?

we sell large items that must be freighted and we won't know the freight charges until the freight company pick the product up.

You could use a couple methods:

1. Less secure, and more admin-intensive: Use the basic CC module that collects card info. Then you manually key the cc details into your swipe machine when ready.

2. Use Authorize.net or CardServices/LinkPoint, and when your customer pays, do an "authorization" of their card. Then when you've calculated the final price, log into the web terminal and charge the actual amount. You'll need to do some testing to understand this process fully.

I think you want to use the credit card payment method

In the admin interface:

Modules->Payment->Credit Card

If I understand it correctly: The customer enters their cc info when checking out. The cc# is split so that only part of it is stored in the database. The rest of the number is emailed to you. You then process the transaction manually.

You would also probably want to email your customers invoices after having calculated the proper shipping. In order to be able to edit the orders to change the shipping amount I would suggest downloading the super_orders module by Blindside.
