    Default PHP session.use_trans_sid = ON

Having trouble with a new install of zencart139h. During the install on the Prerequisites page, I get a red X by the line item: PHP session.use_trans_sid = ON
How can I fix this? I have no idea about the file they are talking about to fix it. Or, can I just ignore this item.

Perhaps you can scroll down the page and read some of the other threads about the issue?
Please do not PM for support issues: a private solution doesn't benefit the community.

Be careful with unsolicited advice via email or PM - Make sure the person you are talking to is a reliable source.

Did not find any answers on this page but will look further in this section of threads to see if I can find something about this when I get more time.
Seems like there are a lot of issues with this version of zencart but maybe that is normal since most of us are fairly new to this stuff.

    Thanks anyhow for your help.

If you have a local php.ini file then use that to set this to 'off'. If you don't have a local php.ini file then contact your hosting company about it.

Thanks for your help. I do not know what file you are referring to but I will give my hosting company a call to see what they can do.

    Thanks again.

    1. There's a "more info" help link in the zc_install screen beside the error message, which explains the matter in more detail.

    2. Your duplicate identical posts have been merged into one. Please don't post the same thing in multiple places, as it results in unfinished discussions and makes it useless for finding help when others come along later looking for answers. Plus it's more work for moderators.

    Hai,

I am installing Zen-cart and have the same problem, what's the solution you have used.

In my case PHPinfo says session.use_trans_sid = 1, wich i guess means that it's "ON"

I have made a call to my hosting company, but they haven't a solution other then to place my own php.ini whitout any garantees

    regards

    You have two choices:
    a) choose another hosting company who has a better default PHP configuration
    b) set the change in your own custom php.ini using advice from your present hosting company
