Whitescreen on admin

I just completed a total reinstall. I am closing the shop for a month and decided to start over from scratch. (Everything is backed up.) Install appeared to go fine. I am able to get to the customer site, but when I try to go to the admin site I just get a white screen. This happened once before and I was advised to upgrade my php. I was not able to do that at the time, but now I just did. My hosting company can only upgrade me to 5.4, which I just did, and it is still a white screen. Any more ideas?

White screen should create an error log... Have a look in your logs folder via ftp and post the content if you can't find the fault yourself, but don't forget to remove your admin details if displayed in the error log.

Thanks for your quick response PicandNix. I am not sure what happened, but all of a sudden it is working!! I am going to assume that it was your great powers that fixed it, even before I read your reply!!

One other thought is that it took a little time for my host to truly upgrade to Php 5.4
