Default PayPal Website Payments Pro - 10558 Currency Not Supported

Just enabled PayPal Website Payments Pro and tried a test item and I keep getting

"10558 Currency Not Supported for Card Type. - Your processor is unable to process the Card Type in the currency requested. Please try another card type."

My default currency is CAD and have tried setting the Paypal mod with CAD or ANY but still get this error.
I am useing my Amex card

Playing around some more and if I use my Mastercard I get this error.

"81251 Internal Error - Internal Service Error"

Is your PayPal account based in the USA or in Canada?

Website Payments Pro is only available to US merchants.

You will have to ask PayPal when they will have the programs available for you.
Please do not PM for support issues: a private solution doesn't benefit the community.

Be careful with unsolicited advice via email or PM - Make sure the person you are talking to is a reliable source.

Checking in on this! PayPal Pro is available for Canada now, but my Canadian client is getting the above mentioned error as well. She says:

"For the past few days I've been noticing that I get these alert
messages from Paypal (Paypal Direct Payment Error)

10558 Currency Not Supported for Card Type. - Your processor is
unable to process the Card Type in the currency requested.
    Please try another card type.

Yet the order shows up in the admin and I have the money in my
    account. Is this normal?

Also, yesterday I received payment via Paypal Pro (I can see the
amount in my Paypal account) but there is no order in ZC --no
details, nothing. I received a blank error message from Paypal
so I'm not sure what went wrong.

I've contacted Paypal about both problems but they said it's
something to do with ZC and not Paypal."

This site uses the currency dropdown to allow customers to purchase in both CAD and USD. Any ideas?

Amex and Discover aren't accepted by PayPal Website Payments Pro in Canada.

i am thinking about changing to payment pro. did you have to pay the $30 month charge to test it? also does it give you the purchased items line item detail or just the total of the order in paypal?

You will have to go through a credit check as part of an application process to request the feature, as well as agree to a monthly service charge. There is no free trial offered.

That question is already answered in the 2 other places you already asked it: http://www.zen-cart.com/forum/showthread.php?t=141901

The above discussion is related to errors resulting from checkout in specific currency, and is not related to your shipping question.
