Hi,
I have installed 1.3.8 three times and it creates tables adding the password as prefix, i.e.
address_book is created as passwordaddress_book
tried three times... exactly the same problem
Any quick hack here?

Nothing as a prefix. If I enter a prefix, it works. I tried to debug it by checking the value of getConfigKey('DB_PREFIX') in the function dbLoadProcedure (installer.php):
echo 'prefix'.$this->getConfigKey('DB_PREFIX');
Even if there is no prefix entered, it returns the entered password value
Puzzling. I've never seen that happen.
I would suspect file corruption but would expect different symptoms if files were bad.
What version of PHP?
What hosting platform?

php 4.4.2, freeBSD
I have installed over 50 1.3.7 carts and never had this before.
Agreed - definitely bizarre. I've never seen it before either.
I can only guess that somehow the GPC data is getting mangled by PHP once it gets into memory.

ok, give me some time as I will have to reinstall it on another subdomain, because, I have already installed this one with a prefix (the only way I could get rid of the password as a prefix)
