I uninstalled as it's only at testing stage and therefore not needed right now, and then index.php went blank plus a few other problems.
Easiest for me is to simply wipe the slate clean and start again as I've only spent today working and not really got anything major that I can't change quickly.

You may want to check the htaccess, did you clean it up?

And remove inti_ssu in init includes

I did but there were numerous problems anyway, not related to SSU so it's just as quick to reinstall.

This was encountered by someone else, maybe I should put this in the readme:

Reset the cache and it will fix itself

I cleared all data in FF and IE7, restarted comp and same error:
http://www.example.com/ladywig/cSSU_ID_DELIMITER2 + the zenid, it takes me to my "page not found" page.
Unless you mean something else by the cache?

A new version of SSU has been uploaded and waiting for approval, It's beta 2.5
Minor bug fixes + the ability to turn it on or off.

I thought it was 12/2007 that I installed it....either way, it was this mod that I installed. is there an uninstall for it? any help would be appreciated.

What do you see in admin-configuration-ssu url?
Try to clean cache manually

the SSU_ID_DELIMITER you see in the link can be only caused by:
1. database not installed
2. db installed but cache not cleared
