I've just setup a subdomian using cpanel and installed wordpress, I can't access the subdomain is it possible this is due to Ceon URI Mapping and if so how do I exclude the sub domain

Please read FAQs in the documentation about excluding particular directories, that may help.

If it doesn't then you should consult someone who knows more about rewrite rules etc.

You know the answer to your own ? People don't take the time to read the README file or search through the thread. If they did they would know how to create a .htaccess file or why what is causing a 404 error. They read just enough to get by and that when all the problems start to happen because they didn't read the whole README file or search the thread before asking questions. It is much faster to ask the ? again without going through the hassle to find the answer there self.

Daggone it... how many "I got a 404 error" posts do we need to see??

In the most recent versions of our software I have been trying to answer as many questions as I can in the documentation and software itself. Some of the new versions of our software now have checks for the most common mistakes made by the person installing the software.

Hopefully I'll get enough time to work on version 4.0.0 and introduce some of this sort of thing into Ceon URI Mapping too.

I've read the documentation,the suggested code allows me to exclude a directory if accessed like this site.com/directory however it doesn't allow me to access a subdomain like directory.site.com, any help would be greatly appreciated.

My host sorted it, not sure how, I've asked them to confirm how they did it and I will post here. They said they modified the htaccess file but I can't find any differences. There is a htaccess file in the subdomain with one rule:

RewriteEngine Off

perhaps that's how it is done, I'll confirm when I get more info.

That's an interesting way for their server to work.

Subdomains and main domains shouldn't share the same directory structure, which is why many don't need to do what yours had to.

If it works, it works!

Hi

I've had this mod installed and working for a while now, but I never did do anything with the define pages, all products pages or new products pages.

I've been reading the directions and at step 9 I want to do the first method.

For my first attempt I am trying to get the All Products page mapped.

In phpmyadmin > zen_ceon_uri_mappings

I used the existing rows as my example. I added a new row for products_all, but the store front url is still showing as index.php?main_page=products_all

I attached a screenshot of my settings. Am I missing something obvious?

Thanks for a great mod! The instructions a clean and detailed.

Forgive my "Newbness" but I am not seeing where to find the "Modules > URI Mapping Config in the Admin and the database tables will be automatically created"

Nothing new has shown up under "modules' or "configuration".

I have searched the installation instructions, faq, web, this forum, and the 247 pages of this thread and have not found an answer.

Do I need to create the tables manually in my db?

If someone could point me in the right direction I would appreciate it.

I am using ZC v1.3.9f
