Shipping cost based on distance from ZIP code?

Hi

I've set up a ZenCart store for a friend who delivers fresh bakery products in the LA area. She wanted me to implement a system where the cost of delivery is based on distance from her location as she will deliver personally. I just can't seem to find a solution, is it even possible?

The alternative would be if someone could place an order, then not actually pay anything until she receives the order after which she can add the delivery cost and then forward the customer the final invoice.

Any ideas anyone?

Its a commercial mod and hence not mentionable in these forums.
Try Google, that's pretty good at finding stuff.

Sorry to be obtuse, I should clarify that although almost all answers to zen cart questions are buried somewhere in this forum, in my experience (and others I think) I have found that its better to just use Google rather than the forum's own search function, which just does not deliver the results even for something you know you have written.

So I guess I just expected you to type the subject into Google first..and up it comes first on the list.
