G'day,
I set up a new ZC site for friends (and clients). Their old site was running on a Windows server, had an old-fashioned look and feel and was running awfully slow and was incompatible with the new ZC site (UNIX/Linux).
The new site is live, has all the products, bells and whistles and is working smoothly as expected.
I am finally in possession of a backup of their old (Windows) database and trying to extract basic customer data - mainly names, addresses, email contacts but no associated old orders.
Unfortunately my knowledge is very limited when it comes to Windows servers and MS DB's. Hence I have no idea how to import/convert this monster into MySQL.
Once I have the data in MySQL format I am planning to dump just the customers table(s), convert to a CSV file and import them into the new ZC site using the 'Add Customers from Admin' mod. Naturally this would be done on my local install first...
Is there any OS software that can convert a Windows DB (something.bak) into MySQL format?
Checked FAQ's/Tutorials/Wiki for answers - to no avail.
Thanks guys
