Modifying create account page

I want to modify the way customers create a new account, specifically the drop down default country which I want to default to one specific country. All I need to do is change the selected="selected" part of the <option> tag but i have no idea where to locate it.
I also want to modify some of the generic text.
I have the latest version installed
Can anybody help me to locate the file?

These core files that you do not edit but make a copy for your template

/includes/templates/template_default/templates/tpl_create_account_default.php

/includes/templates/template_default/templates/tpl_modules_create_account.php

And these reference constants that are in the language files

Login to your ZenCart Admin and choose the default country for the dropdown list:[/FONT]
