I'm having an issue 50% of the time with the dropdown appearing to "flash" rather than load and remain on screen.

First, there's no "flash" involved with this menu. What you're seeing in action is jquery.
Also, has this issue been resolved, as the menu seems to be working perfectly to me?

When you hover on, say, Products, the dropdown eases out perfectly. But sometimes, not always, hovering on the dropdown part makes it "jitter" on and off rapidly. Moving very rapidly from top link to dropdown link makes it work correctly; moving slowly or to a non-link area of the dropdown triggers the jitter, and then moving to a link does not stop it.

For starters, you have a backup copy of the stylesheet named stylesheet_header_menu_old.css which is loading after and taking precedence over stylesheet_header_menu.css.
Keep the backup somewhere else, or at least change the extension to .bak instead of .css so it will not be applied.

hello.
i installed this module for my new project.
what i need is a way to add <div id= "bottomeborder" ></div> or <li id="bottomborder"></li> at the very buttom of the menu item for categories.
i will use this container to add bottom border or other graphic item using CSS .
any suggestion as how to add this addition.
