Blank Categories individual Products text & images

I have just today upgraded from 139f to 139h.

Online, the front end/ what customers view, I can see my store and all my products with its text and images for each product.

But when I login to my Admin page to add a new product, I took a peak on my "old" products for reference.

Here is now the problem.

Although the products ARE listed under "Categories", as soon as I open a specific product (for editing text and pictures) suddenly I cant see either text or images for any product. Its all simply blank & white. Funny enough I can see quantities available, but otherwise nothing. Zilch.

But as said, in the store front it all looks okey.

Ps. I have already logged into my web host control panel and runned a Analyze in phpMyAdmin, where it gave "OK" and "Table is already up to date".

Any ideas on what can have gone wrong?

Exactly WHERE is the "blank, white" area? Is it inside your HTMLArea editor? What WYSIWYG editor are you using?

(This is probably NOT a database issue... No need to "tinker" with the database.)

There was an issue in version 1.3.9g regarding the HTML editor and html formatting appearing in the editor (and subsequently in the webshop).

The file that "fixed" this was called (if I remember rightly), extra_white_list.php ... But I know that the issue was corrected for version 1.3.9h.

If you are using HTMLArea editor, consider loading CK Editor. It's much better.

Its the "Products Name" and the "Products description" that are blank.

Log into the Admin log in page in the browser.
Go to Categories Page
Got to a Product folder
Go to a specific product
Click on the specific Product to open the page where you write the name of a product, and HTML editor I guess its called.

In that page it says "Products Name (title/name of the product)" and "Products description (HTML editor?)"

Or what other ADD-ONS do you have?

Your issue could be that an ADMIN file that needed to be "modified" in your original site - possibly to handle languages - was "replaced" in the upgrade with a new CORE file.

Examine your ORIGINAL ADD-ON FILES, and if any have files in the ADMIN folder(s), see which files over-wrote a CORE file.

But I useally use the admin log in page and Notepad++ for Zen cart

I use English (2nd language by set as default in the store)
And Swedish language.
I use the Swedish language pack you can get from Zen-Cart.com / add on

No, you misunderstand... I am not talking about an EXTERNAL wysiwyg editor.

There is a CK Editor Add-On that is much better than HTMLArea.

If your products are showing their NAME and DESCRIPTIONS in the store-front, it means your data is intact in the database, for the selected language.

If you cannot see that data in admin, it is likely to be a PHP issue... something wrong in one of the admin area PHP files. I would suggest your problem file is:

admin/includes/modules/product/collect_info.php

And... after clicking "preview", you do not see heading or description...

admin/includes/modules/product/preview_info.php

If these files are intact, then it could be a configuration in your language settings.

I do not have a lot of experience in adding languages to ZC, but I do know that one needs to be careful to follow the procedures correctly.

I have FRENCH installed on THIS SITE, and it works OK

Its not yet sorted for me as its gettig late - I am one our ahead of you in england. But tomorrow I will hopefully have some respons from the swedes on the swedish zen cart forum as well. I wrote and ask there as well as here and link to this post.

Boy, hope this all sorts out ok.
