the swapping of images in places isnt a standard zen cart feature? do you have swap images via mouseover or click installed?

i had this and that module and tabbed products pro is not compatible, despite not having the images enabled on the tabs i couldnt find a work around so eventually had to remove it.

i presume the reason for it not working is much the same as it not working for ask a question mod in tab, any click is registered to be a cart add click or tab swap click, any modules that rely on a click action seem to be useless with this.

Hi,
Correct, and I used the attribute image module add-on which has worked fine until now. I have had it on the website for almost a year now.

You can see in one of the links I listed that the attributes are not displayed within the tab feature.

Is the add-on developer on this thread? Can you give me any advice on this issue?

Does anyone know if TPP has compatibility issues with Image Handler 3? I realized that I installed IH3, not Additonal Images.

Hi,
I have been searching many threads for this random problem I found.

Zencart 1.3.9f

I installed additional images, and it works great. I then installed tabs and it also works great. See example here. It pulled in the additional images already associated with that product.

Then I added some new products and uploaded their additional images. I checked their pages and the additional images don't register as a tab. I checked the admin, and the images show as being uploaded and the status is enabled. I checked all the config settings and they are correct in enabling additional images. However, they don't show up on the website. See page here. This problem only occurs for new products. The old products' images continue to display.

The second issue I noticed is that the attribute image no longer replaces the main product image when selected. This happens with every product (new or old). I have never encountered this problem before, and I checked the attribute settings and they are correct.

Has anyone seen anything like this before? Can anyone suggest which files I should check for bugs? It happened after using tabs.

Given that IH3 is based off of IH2 and the changes between the two would not have affected how this mod works with other mods, my answer is no.. (Not to mention I used TPP on my test store during the time we were testing IH3..)

Hi,
I am going to disable global tabs, and only use tabs for products that don't have color attributes. This way the styles that need to show the attribute image when clicked will still function.

It is a shame b/c I would just use global tabs if I could. So if anyone hears of a fix for attribute image model so the the two mods are compatible please let me know!

I have searched for the last 5 hours and everything that is stated here doesn't work.
I am by far NOT a newbie at zencart, but there really isn't any easy way to arrange the tabs?
That just seems beyond absurd, and should have been one of the first things designed in to this.

If you consider that nearly ALL of the free Zen Cart mods developed were usually developed based on the needs of the developers client (versus the community at large), then YES it's possible that a mod does not work the way you might want or have the feature you seek.

OK once again off to pay someone to do something that should have been done anyway. I could make a fortune on mods since I seem to be the only one willing to ever actually update the things with my own cash.. oh yeah but the links to 95% of the shops on here are dead. That's why.

On the contrary. There are lots of store owners who hang out here who understand that mods written for somebody else and generously released to the community for others to use for free may not do exactly what they want out of the box. They appreciate that sometimes to make more money from their store they may need to pay a professional to tweak the mods to their specific needs. They just do so quietly without feeling the need to have a tantrum about it.

Exactly!!! Well stated!!!

It amazes me that there are still some who think of FREE mods as something equal to commercial software instead of what they REALLY are; custom apps developers created for their OWN needs which they have generously contributed for FREE to the community.. They usually meet the needs of others in the community, but they may or may not match EVERYONE'S needs out the box..

Heck I've worked as a software business analyst for the last 15 years and it's RARE when a packaged commercial solution meets the project stakeholder's needs OUT THE BOX.. So our projects usually include some customization component to meet the need of the stakeholders.. and yep customization ain't free..
