    Hi guy

I have the problem with my website, sometimes is really slow, so i try to check how to improve the speed of my site...

I have look the code of my page, i have this before /head :

    <script src="/A2EB891D63C8/avg_ls_dom.js" type="text/javascript"></script><script type="text/javascript" src="includes/templates/12541/jscript/jscript_imagehover.js"></script>
    </head>

I think that script "jscript_imagehover.js" is about IH3 is correct?

i dont know what is avg_ls_dom.js maybe about my template?? i have a monster template installed, but i dont have a folder A2EB891D63C8 so what is?!!?

I think that this script is better at bottom of the page before body or not ? how can i move this code??

What do you think? is better to move the script of IH3 at the end of the page for improve the speed of the website??

    thanks

The IH3 javascript by itself should not cause a performance issue, but other javascripts may not play well with it.. This is not an issue to be resolved on the IH3 support thread as it is not truly an IH3 caused issue IMHO. This is something you should instead take up with Template Monstrosity since it is likely that their javascript is the cause of your issue..

and this support thread is to address specific issues with Image Handler. Image Handler is working fine as you've not reported a specific issue with Image Handler. Your questions relate to website performance and how to modify Zen Cart (not Image Handler) to change the order in which ALL your javascripts load (not JUST the Image Handler javascript).. This support thread is not the right place for this question/discussion.. I would suggest posting your question in a more appropriate place on the forum so that your question can be properly addressed..

I used godaddy hosting, but they have some limite as can't have more than 1024 files in per folder,so i must clear the bmz_cache folder every day,it's tried for me,so i need use cron job to clear the bmz_cache folder every day,and because i have no to do it in some days, then the godaddy workers closed my hosting.

1.but i don't know how to set it in godaddy cron job manager, please let me know the command.

2.If you can help us more,i hope you can fix this problem for godaddy hosting user: let the different cache picture to differrent folders,as bmz_cache/Large_cache/ and bmz_cache/M_cache/ ..., limite files number for per folders, and when the pictures files over the number, then it auto to creat files to other folders.if the script will be so cool, then godaddys user will be happy more.

Now i limite the files less than 1024 in per folders and set faile for Image Handler2,but have many new products and many old products must use oriange picture, and the picture too big,so the site very very slowly now. it will cost about 10s to open full.

Ok, can't find it in the documentation anywhere. I installed IH3, everything seems to be working. So I uploaded a large image, is it not suppose to automatically generate the med and small image? All that happens is all three images (lrg, med, small) are the same size. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Image sizes are handled in the image settings.. There are two sections in the readme which cover this. One reviews images in the store correspond to the small and medium images and then the section on the image settings goes over each of the image settings..

Suggest reviewing these sections and review your image settings.. Please come back if anything in the readme is unclear..

Short answer is you need to find a new host that is prepared to host your site.. Go Daddy is not recommended by the Zen Cart developers/admins.. Answers to your query is below..

You need to consult with Go Daddy on this.. This support thread cannot assist you with host specific instructions

If you insist on keeping Go Daddy as your host (not recommended) You will need to consider paying a developer to create this one off version of IH3 for you.. I imagine that this would be a fair amount of work to make it work in the manner you describe to accommodate one specific host..

Now i limite the files less than 1024 in per folders and set faile for Image Handler2,but have many new products and many old products must use oriange picture, and the picture too big,so the site very very slowly now. it will cost about 10s to open full.

Adding to what DivaVocals said...IH3 is not the only mod who's functionality is halted or ruined by GoDaddy. If you keep your site hosted on GoDaddy, be prepared for the fact that many of the most powerful and popular mods will not function at all, or will not function correctly. Also, Zen Cart may always have one problem or another as long as it is hosted at GoDaddy.

GoDaddy is known for disallowing dynamic content - that means that any content on your site that will be updating and changing based on the needs of the sites and what the user (browser) calls for won't function properly or maybe not at all.

Common dynamic content includes modern style menus, images, image handling software, ads....pretty much anything that runs by script (i.e. automatically).

GoDaddy is a good hosting site if you plan on using old style basic html and heavily limiting or completely doing without dynamic (automatically changing) and interactive (user controlled) content.

In other words...it's great for old websites running outdated software and coding (or personal "about me" type websites, or websites using nothing more complex than a paypal button) - but won't properly handle modern websites (or websites that include true ecommerce functionality).

In your search for new webhosting, recommend you check whether or not they place limitations on dynamic and/or interactive content. If they do, pass them by.

And now, since this is waaaay off topic for this support thread, please consider this conversation closed

    Good luck and happy Zenning

Just an FYI I wanted to share.

After installing the image handler I found that all of a sudden the subcategories page was truncated after the category description. As I had also installed another mod right before that and was working on a site that was new to me, I spent forever trying to track down the problem. I had seen this happen before when a product got corrupted (I thought) but couldn't track it to a specific product.

I finally found out that one of the subcategory icons was a very large png file and that was the reason why the page stopped.

So take a note - if an image is too large for the mod or server or whatever to handle, it will create missing parts of pages. There's no error messages anywhere and it may feel random.

I hope this saves someone the hours I wasted yesterday!
