I am just testing out Tax Cloud. Using a test site for ZC 1.5, I tried the tax exemption option. After adding the info I selected "save" exemption and went to a white screen that just said "valid", and then stopped. When I hit the back button to my cart and refreshed, the tax was still there.

I think I figured it out - It doesn't work when the site is down for maintenance. Is that the answer? It is working now.

Using ZenCart 1.5 (installed via FTP and zc_install) with only the USPS shipping option added and installed. I'm trying to use TaxCloud but having a problem where the tax amount is not being added to the total sent for payment (using Authorize.net AIM for payment). For example, an order with subtotal of $10 shows the correct tax amount of $0.72 and correct order total of $10.72 on the checkout payment information screen but the "x_amount" value being sent to the payment server is 10.00.

Any ideas what could be causing this? Thanks!

I've installed TaxCloud on a 1.5.0 Zen-Cart store, but no tax rates show up at checkout. I can't figure out what I'm missing. I've done everything in the readme. Any suggestions?

Make sure you have curl and soap enabled.

Also, in the TaxCloud admin screen, you should see:

Server is configured to reach TaxCloud


In your Tax Cloud account, did you choose your state to collect taxes in?

So I download the newest version then chucked it because I still have 1.3.9h running and that is what works best for my business. So I downloaded the most recent version for 1.3.9h as suggested and when I FTP all the files into my root it wipes everything completely out. So I chucked that store and pulled up my back up #2 same result. I see that some are using the latest version with their 1.3.9h and it is working fine. My head is starting to hurt and I need to go to bed but I am getting frustrated there are some files that I am being asked to overwrite and I do because the newer files have a larger volume what could I be doing wrong? I am going to try using the new version once before I go to bed. Please help.

Hi Sammirah,

Because you are using the older version of Zen Cart, we would recommend using the older version of the TaxCloud module.

If you have other modules already installed, you should be very cautious about simply overwriting the existing files because those previously installed modules may also have overwritten or modified the standard Zen Cart distribution files. If this is the case, you may need to compare and merge the TaxCloud distribution files with your existing files to get everything to work correctly.

I am having the same issue as Pete_srcs, only I am using USA ePay payment module. I am using ZenCart 1.5.4 and TaxCloud - updated 01/10/16 from Github.
Would you possibly be able to help me?
