    Hi There

    I have this version of the SiteMapXML (v 2.1.0 30.04.2009 10:35)
which I have been using for a while now on my zen cart 138a.

I have a small problem where the
    Google Sitemap http://myurl.com/sitemapproducts.xml
Number of URLs in this Google Sitemap: 437

Indicates only 437 products when I have well over 2500, I also noted that the last modification date was November 2009 in the same document and also some of the other xml files. What can be causing this.

    Many Thanks
    Renz

Hi There, thanks for your reply..

    I update by:

    Google XML Sitemap Admin

    OVERVIEW:

This module automatically generates several XML Google compliant site maps for your Zen-Cart store: a main site map, one for categories, one for products, and one for EZ-pages.

    INSTRUCTIONS:

STEP 1: Click [HERE] to create / update your site map.

Then I submit...Is this the right way?
    Thanks

You have to click on the link "[HERE] create / update" but the files does not update? They still contain a few items, and updated date of these files is November 2009?? And no any error?

That is correct, however my other site using the same version is updating to the correct amount of products in the actual site....
I am wondering if I should run the db sql script or reload the software in case I missed something? I have no errors..I can post the update report if you like or I can PM it to you
    Thanks

    Hi Andrew..

    File Permissions on all

    .xml & xml.gz currently stands at 777

    Update report is as follows

    SiteMapXML (v 2.1.0 30.04.2009 10:35)
    Categories Sitemap
"sitemapcategories.xml.gz" have not changed - using existing file(s)
    Ezpages Sitemap
    EZ-Page ignored (found in ROBOTS_PAGES_TO_SKIP): "index.php?main_page=advanced_search" (http://www.adulttoys4u.com.au/index....dvanced_search)
    EZ-Page ignored (found in ROBOTS_PAGES_TO_SKIP): "index.php?main_page=contact_us" (http://www.adulttoys4u.com.au/index....age=contact_us)
File http://www.adulttoys4u.com.au/sitemapezpages.xml.gz. Written 5 items (1200 bytes), Filesize: 420 bytes
    Total: files 1, items 5 (1209 bytes).
    Products Sitemap
"sitemapproducts.xml.gz" have not changed - using existing file(s)
    Reviews Sitemap
"sitemapreviews.xml.gz" have not changed - using existing file(s)
    Sitemap Index
    Include sitemapezpages.xml (http://www.adulttoys4u.com.au/sitemapezpages.xml)
    Include sitemapcategories.xml (http://www.adulttoys4u.com.au/sitemapcategories.xml)
    Include sitemapproducts.xml (http://www.adulttoys4u.com.au/sitemapproducts.xml)
    URL - http://www.adulttoys4u.com.au/sitemapindex.xml
Written 3 items (833 bytes), Filesize: 833 bytes
    Total Execution Time 0:0.1056

I did notice that the other site I have which is functioning does not have the xml.gz folders.

I also noticed that the (http://www.adulttoys4u.com.au/sitemapproducts.xml)
shows the old url of the /shop/ not that that updated either.
    Thanks

I certainly do not remember what was done in version 2.1.0.
From the reports we see that the script does not update the files, thinking that they are fresh, relevant current database.
Why is this happening - it is now difficult to say - may be a bug in the script, may be not properly determined by the update date of the files, may be not properly determined by the update date of the database.

    What to do?
Try this. Goto Admin -> Configuration -> SitemapXML
    Set "Use Existing Files" false
And then try to update xml files.

    Hi Andrew,
Your advice seems to have done the job (pls check the links posted earlier) I thank you for your suggestion, it has made my life easier for this problem I really did not know where to look other than a reload of the Mod.
    Thanks A Million
