More specifically when the file 'jscript_fadeshow_setup.php' is added to the jscript folder, this is when the shop frontend goes blank.

Do you mean like in posts 65 to 67, or something else?

I can only see magicslideshow.js in the source code for your shop, and I cannot any reference to this add on in your source code.

If you attach your 'jscript_fadeshow_setup.php' file, I can have a look tomorrow.

Sorry, I have installed the fade-in slideshow into a test shop, as unfortunetly the Magic Slideshow that I purchased a while ago when I was using v1.3.7 doesn't work with v1.5.0 of Zen Cart.
Anyway, the test shop is located at http://www.brendonscomputers.com/testshop01

Your output cuts off after

<script type="text/javascript" src="includes/templates/pure_blue/jscript/jscript_fadeshow.js"></script>

which indicates a PHP error in jscript_fadeshow_setup.php which should be processed next (we knew that already).
We can't see your PHP file in that location. If you rename its extension to .txt it should become visible as is. Or you can paste it into a post here.

I would note though that this file is entirely unconfigured, just as the install version as downloaded. I did configure it referencing existing pictures on my server but this did not help my problem.

All of the instances of, for example, <?php echo FADESHOWTEXT_1_IMG01;?>],

need to be like, for example, "<?php echo FADESHOWTEXT_1_IMG01;?>" ].

ie in double quotes.

You have to fix that for three lines.

Did you merge the files with winmerge or beyond compare or did you just blindly copy them to the site ? I had a fresh copy of V1.5 installed on my local and just copied the files and had the same problem untill i merged them properly.
