I've rechecked my install, and the problem seems to be in this file : includes/modules/pages/advanced_search_result/header_php.php,

when I upload my original file, the search functions works fine, but it shows also the items in the hidden categories,

Did you MERGE this file with your own or use the one from the package??

I used the one from the package, I made no other changes to this file for other mods.

The latest version was submitted by another community member so I cannot remember the details of the change made to this version.. I know that it modified the advanced search page, and the reason for the change was to correct another issue (which escapes me at the moment). If you search this support thread, the reason for the change and the details behind it are posted.. See if you can locate those posts in this support thread.. It might provide some insight into the issue you are having..

I found the code in post 301 by Kamelion0927, in post 330 you confirmed the code after testing,

I copied the code into the file, alas, it doesn't work in my shop, the search function returns nothing at all ...

could this be caused by another file ?

Explain the part I highlighted.. Nothing as in no search results or nothing as in blank page?? and honestly a site link might be helpful..

the search function returns no results, I'm directed to the 'advanced search', have a look at www.bordink35.be
