I have had good luck with this one in 1.3.9 but in 1.5, I don't see the close button at the bottom right of the image and the scroll bar doesn't really scroll - moves very slowly towards the right but I can't get over to the right even when I drag several times.

No, it's a test system only. I think the root cause is just having a huge image - perhaps the close doesn't show if it doesn't fit on the screen without scrolling? Smaller images seem ok. I am getting around this by using the close on click configuration setting.

I am working on moving my site and just installed lightbox. I am on Zencart 1.39 The issue that I am having is when you open the image the logo in the header appears over the light box. this z-index in this line from your css file is causing your issue

I removed the z-index and it didn't appear to fix it. Do I need to make a change somewhere other than just the CSS file?

I looked at your css, and I still see the property in there, now in 2 files. stylesheet.css and stylesheetNOW.css
I'd would need to be removed from both.

and I need to add it's a BAD idea to keep backups of any file alongside the new files as they will BOTH be loaded.. if you want to keep a backup of your stylesheet, then keep it on your local machine NOT on your live site.. Zen Cart will load BOTH..

Moreover I have the issue that the 'search field' overlaps lightbox how can I solve this?
