I re-did my main site yesterday with a fresh 1.5 install, returned to url re-writing by installing Ultimate SEO, installed this sitemap plugin and everything seems to work properly, and it seemed pretty effortless.

Here's and update on Ask.com if you were wondering what happen to it.. Ask.com Sitemap Crawler is Down for good. Here is what one of the employees said from over there at Ask.com. He said this on June, 18, 2012

The question ask was.
I have been using Ask.com as one of the search engines to ping my sitemap. When I went to ping my sitemap today to have my sitemap re-indexed, the website (http://submissions.ask.com/ping) says it no longer exists? I did a DNS lookup on submissions.ask.com and it looks like Ask.com has removed the subdomain, but their Website Crawler FAQ still has it listed? Any ideas of whats happening?

We now utilize a crawling method of adding new content to our search index. The subdomain you refer to was just retired over the weekend, and we'll be updating that FAQ page very shortly.

Problem with creating sitemapmanufacturers.xml

Running Sitemap XML 3.2.6 with Zencart v1.3.9h:

I have 6 names listed under "Manufacturers" and when I do "Create / update your site map" and look in sitemap/sitemapmanufacturers.xml I find only two of the six names listed. I think I've checked all the obvious fixes. but having said that, maybe there's something really simple I've overlooked Any ideas please?

I have modified my tpl_main_page.php and html_header.php which are in
includes/templates/MY_TEMPLATE/common/

My question is if these two files
includes/templates/YOUR_TEMPLATE/sitemapxml/tpl_main_page.php
includes/templates/YOUR_TEMPLATE/sitemapxml/html_header.php
will override my modified files, and thus if I need to merge them, or are these two files used only for the sitemap page/file, and I need do nothing to my modified files.

I am sorry if any of this has been asked before, but I could not go thru the entire thread.

I am using V1.5

I still dont fully undersatnd sitemaps. But is this mod as easy as just installing and I dont need to know much about it?

For step 7 of install instructions, what parameters do I need to set? Will the parameters be OK if I just leave them as is?

For step 8 (Go to Admin -> Tools -> Google XML Sitemap), I dont see Google XML Sitemap on my admin. Did I do something wrong?

What is a cron job? Are there instructions on how to do this?

Oh, and the instructions say "If you need anymore sitemaps...". Does this mean I need to create more files to accomidate my site, since I have unique EZ pages?
