Logon Failure "You entered the wrong username or password."

Zen Cart 1.5.1

This is message I am getting when I attempt to log on:

"You entered the wrong username or password."

And that same message was repeated after I cleared the cache.




from adminurrhtcqq/includes/configure.php:

(There was not a directory named admin.
It is named adminurrhtcqq.)

I made sure that the username and password I entered match these.

At the moment I do not have SSL associated with this project.

Two files need to be created on the server. These are the configure.php files that will contain
important information to identify the settings of your particular server and the location of the
files that you just loaded. After they have been created, you will then need to change the
permissions on these files.

For a new install, the simplest way to do this is to rename these two files BEFORE installing:
- /includes/dist-configure.php

to /includes/configure.php

- /admin/includes/dist-configure.php
to /admin/includes/configure.php"

(The files named dist-configure.php are still intact in their respective directories)

I am hosting this on GoDaddy and used their "quick install".

There was not a directory named admin.
It is named adminurrhtcqq.

the adminurrhtcqq/includes/configure.php and the includes/configure.php were already set up.

I have changed permissions on the server for these and several other files.

I can access the blank cart

www.aimimports.com/catalog

Any help and ideas on what I may have done wrong here ?

You have to determine what your correct user & pass are...

And once you can access you need to change the name of your admin folder due to having posted it here

First thank you for your assistance. I think you are correct that I should not assume that.

1. Would the correct password and username reside in the configure.php file quoted above?
2. Can this be changed by editing the configure.php file ?
3. This password and username quoted matches and works on "myPHPAdmin".
4. If none of the above where are they changed ?

Evidently I am not communicating this very well.

When it was set up in GoDaddy I elected to use the same password for both.

And it is not working. I am getting that message.

How would one retrieve a user name for Zen Cart?

I having a similar issue. I am a total noob and have spent countless hours solving many many many issues I have had (some created by me) on GoDaddy, DreamHost and with Zencart. SO... it appears that I have completely and totally forgotten/lost my UN and PW to log into www.mydomain.com/admin and I do not have any idea where in the world I would go to retrieve them. SO... any help would be greatly appreciated.

You could always click the "Forgot Password" link on the admin login screen. That will send a temporary password to the email address you used when you set up the admin account.

If you use phpmyadmin at GoDaddy - - this will have to edited to reflect your DB Server
