Abbington Mega Template [Support Thread]

Is there a fix for this? I'd like the new products to display automatically on the homepage without have to click on the tab. I tried the fix suggested before and it didn't work.

There is not a "fix" becase it is not a bug ;-) See this for instructions on how to change which tab shows by default:

Thank you for your reply. I followed those instructions and the tab still has to be clicked in order for the new products to show. Is there any way for the new products to load automatically without having to click on the tab?

You shouldn't have to click on the tab for the new products to load automatically. I would do a fresh template install and then try the instructions again.

I believe that you are seeing default behavior. Are you tring to hover where there is no link text?

No, that's the weird part. The screencast video I linked to shows this: the child menu items don't accept the mouse hover until about ~30-40px into the link text (if it is the link text that's the problem. I suppose it could be the container box holding the links).

I am not seeing this problem in firefox or chrome. What browser are you using?

I just sumbitted a major update to the template package. Changes include:

• Changed slideshow to Slides JS. Added includes/modules/pages/index/jscript_jquery.min.jquery.slides.php, includes/templates/abbington_mega/common/tpl_home_slider.php, includes/templates/abbington_mega/css/stylesheet_slides.css, includes/templates/abbington_mega/images/arrow-next.png, includes/templates/abbington_mega/images/arrow-prev.png, includes/templates/abbington_mega/images/loading.gif, includes/templates/abbington_mega/images/pagination.png, includes/templates/abbington_mega/jscript/jscript_jquery.min.php. Removed includes/modules/pages/index/jscript_easySlider.php, includes/templates/abbington_mega/jscript/jscript_jquery_1-4-4.js

• Added CSS browser selector javascript. Changed includes/templates/abbington_mega/common/html_header.php. Removed includes/templates/abbington_mega/css/ie6.css and includes/templates/abbington_mega/css/ie7.css

• Replaced button code in includes/templates/abbington_mega/sideboxes/tpl_search.php and includes/templates/abbington_mega/sideboxes/tpl_search_header.php. Added includes/templates/abbington_mega/buttons/english/button_seach_header.png

• Fixed product details button in new, featured, and specials modules to be multi language friendly. Changed files includes/modules/abbington_mega/featured_products.php, includes/modules/abbington_mega/new_products.php, includes/modules/abbington_mega/specials_index.php

• Added includes/languages/english/abbington_mega/button_names.php file so tell a friend button shows in 1.3x

• Added fade in effect on tab change for Tabbed Home Page Modules

• Updated Tabbed Home Page Modules to be multi language friendly. Changed includes/templates/abbington_mega/templates/tpl_index_default.php and added includes/languages/english/extra_definitions/abbington_mega/module_tabs.php

• Fixed php shorttag in includes/templates/abbington_mega/common/tpl_mega_menu.php

• Fixed border color in includes/templates/abbington_mega/css/stylesheet_mega_menu.css

• Fixed padding bugs in includes/templates/abbington_mega/css/stylesheet_mega_menu.css file.

• Updated includes/templates/abbington_mega/sideboxes/tpl_currencies.php for PHP 5.3 compatibility

• Updated AddThis social bookmarking on the product info page to include Pinterest Pin it button

• New readme file.

Love this template...and love the new ones even better...maybe I should have waited! Lol
Anyway, I'm almost ready to go online but ran into a snag. Everything WAS working fine yesterday, but I've lost my social media "facebook/twitter like" buttons on the product pages. Now...I'm so frustrated!!!! Hahahahaha Typical....

The only thing I've done since yesterday is to install tabbed products pro and the additional images mods. I'm going blind trying to figure out where the 'like' buttons have gone and have tried everything I can think of with this small mind. PLEASE, can you point me in the right direction?

It sounds like you didn't merge the changes from the modules into your template tpl_product_info_display.php file. I would recommend downloading the template package and merging the code for the addthis social bookmarking into your current tpl_product_info_display.php file.
