Pure CSS Mega Menu

I am attempting to add little arrow images to the categories that have subs but, no matter where in the stylesheet_mega_menu.css I place the code I either get nothing, one arrow midway down lists, each and every category regardless of there being a sub or not or on every single main category of the menu and lists.

I have tried to add this:

background: #222 url(../images/arrows/arrow32.png;

I have tried adding it to the:
/*bof 2 levels drop down*/
/*second-level lists*/
.mega-menu .levels li:hover
.mega-menu .levels li ul ul

Could someone please let me know if there should be a different file to add it to.

.mega-menu li.submenu

This is what I added to the bottom of the mega menu css file:

.mega-menu li.submenu
{
background: #000 url(../images/arrows/arrow32.png;
}

did I put it in the wrong file cause it still shows no arrowsI

forgot to mention that when looking at it in firebug...it only shows the main section but nothing about the image coding at all.

never mind the dilemna...thank you for the closure that I surely missed...got a headache trying different things and all it was my own dumb self...lol

as for the row of arrows...now fixed, I totally forgot to add the no-repeat 99% 99% at the end of the code for the arrow.

Thank you Anne for a wonderful mod to add to our stores.

I usually am the one behind the stuff not working when coding...lol I think difficult when it is the simplest item that is needed.
