    Sounds very much like your hosting company needs to give you the correct SMTP settings.

    I'm not sure where the "SSL" part came into the picture.

    But if they were telling you that your email must be transmitted over SSL, then change the SMTP Port from 25 to 465.

    If you cannot connect and send with thunderbird, the provided settings for SMTP are wrong.

    On another topic:
    Your records for SPF protection did not authorize sending from either of the domain MX records for email servers or the IP for the SMTP server you mentioned. This can cause some issues with spam filters or emails being rejected by the receiving server.

    It's now useable (to the best of my server hosts ability lol) thanks to everyone for your help. But a massive massive THANKS TO lhungil for going into the server and fixing what the server host could not.

    This man deserves much recognition. Not to mention the amount of patience he has with me and my utter thickness lol. I will repay you somehow some day.
