Default block people off my site via admin

I was wondering if there is a way of blocking people from my site from within the admin section.

When i find a spam ip and ip trying to access admin etc i copy the ip and block it via the cpanel, but this is not stright forward for the others in my office. is there an easier way??

dont really want to give others in the office access to cpanel where they could potentally kill my server.

http://www.zen-cart.com/downloads.php?do=file&id=979 found this but says for 1.3.8

Hi, you could try: zbblock see: http://www.spambotsecurity.com/zbblock.php
I realise that you want something "interactive" where you can upload spammers as you spot them, this does all that automatically, you can adjust the setting to lower threshold or higher depending on your need. I would advise not letting "just anyone" in the office to add "spammers" they may not know what they are looking for.

as always, backup, backup, backup!! there is only a single line of code to insert into all pages i did it via :
includes/templates/template_default/common > tpl_header.php for site-wide installation. worked for me. you might have to install somewhere else depending on your template etc.

Further caveat, I am no uber zenner, just sharing my experience. I have found that if I want to disable it i simply comment out the line & it goes back to letting loads of spammers & bad bots roam the site freely.

ps: I did have this installed on my zc1.39h & it worked there too.
