Sheffield Blue Template Support Thread

Hey Anne...I'm really enjoying your template. Very cool. Congrats and thanks.

I'm having a few strange formatting problems. The strangest being that the site looks good when first viewed:



But when I've signed on as a customer then the menu/search goes wierd:



Also, when I go to checkout there is a problem with elements hanging off the right side of the site and the "Estimate Shipping" button hanging low.



I've gone back to a clean install of the template and had similar problems. Have searched the forum and played with the CSS...but I'm definitely missing something. Thanks in advance for your time.

If you post a link to your site I can take a look. If the problems are not in the demo, then they are related to changes that you have made.

Hey Again...

When I went to look at the demo I realized that I'm on the wrong forum. I'm using the Responsive Sheffield Blue. I couldn't find a way to move the post to the right place so I'll post again there. Thanks.

one more thing - hate to be a bother again.. now that i have the site working and will start to customize it, i notice - and others on this forum noticed that the site loads very slow.. is it possible i missed something else?

darn i had this working nicely today and then i must have updated some setting in the configuration but now the main content area shows below the left navigation instead of next to it.. http://www.swordsofhonor.net

any idea what setting i might have messed up? i have the left column status set to 1 and the right column status set to 0

The template is designed to be a responsive 3 column layout. If you want to use it with a 3 column display, you will have to adjust the width on line 270 of the responsive.css file with your new width--probably something like 770 px wide.

i think i understand this but i DO want the responsive design.. and i changed the right column status to a 1 so that the right column will show up but it does not.. i then went back and followed all the directions and started over (except for the sql commands) and i still can't get it to work. in fact now the right column shows up below the middle column..

The slow loading time is not related to the template. I would look to things like your image sizes, are your images optimized, your web host, etc. Also, if you look in the FAQs section of this site you will find a tutorial with instructions on how to speed up your site loading time ;)

The only thing shown is new products for this month.

And you have to manually click the new button on the main page to see the newly added products, is that a normal procedure? I want to show the newly added products directly on the main page.

The products problem is not related to the template. Are you sure that the products in the categories are turned on?
