Correct me if I'm wrong but
Aren't there some classes of service that are available to Online pricing but NOT available to retail pricing and also the other way around; available to retail but not online? Regional Flatrate comes to mind.
I personally desire to use retail pricing but must resort to choosing online pricing because of the need to use the online/commercial classes that are not available to retail.
So put me into a third category of talking about a blend of both worlds.Said as I duck for cover.
I appreciate everything you do Linda and am happy to have a functional USPS module where I have as much control as is provided. I've found ways to skin that retail/online cat.

That is correct, there are some things that work for Retail vs Online and vice versa but they cannot be mixed on the quotes so you do need to make a choice on which works best for you ...

I thought the changes take effect on Sunday 1/26? (According to the USPS . com website) Is it actually Monday 1/27?
Can you clarify this, Linda? (Ajeh)
PS- so far it seems to be working fine on my test server using the USPS test interface. Getting expected (new) results for various
types of mailings that are affected by the new changes and the others remain stable. Let's hope they don't change it again at the last minute.
Thanks,
Debbie
Don'tcha hate when you get ahead of yourself?
You are correct that the date is January 26, 2014 for the changes. This will be corrected in the final release ... thanks for keeping me on track!![]()

LOL! No problem, I do that myself all the time. ;0)
I'm having a little issue (might be caused by something in the item data or configuration of the module- I will explore more today), with First Class Packages. I thought that mail class was not affected by the new rates? I'm seeing a difference between the existing and the new rates and can't account for it. (Domestic). I can't find any new rate info on the USPS website for First Class Packages...just Letters up to 3 oz.
The reason I think it may be data or configuration-related somehow is that I'm finding my client's existing estimator (from last July's USPS update) is also off a bit from the USPS retail rates, and I'm accounting for handling charges and any other thing I can think of. So there may be some difference in the item between the live cart & test one. All the other mail classes seem to work perfectly. :0)
Thanks,
Debbie
