flat rate shipping everywhere except Australia

I am in Australia where I can provide free shipping. But overseas orders I would like to charge a flat rate.

How might I achieve this?

Enable the Free Shipping module for Australia only.

Then you could set up the Zones Shipping module to exclude Australia but set 00 (all other countries) to one zone and set the desired shipping rate for that single zone.

That should do it for you.

Delivery is same business day only within metro areas of the same state within the Courier Post network and when it is lodged at an Australia Post retail outlet or arranged through Click and Send before 2pm.

Hi. I have something similar where I give free shipping only in US when total >x.

you didn't say how it was behaving w your setup, only that it didn't work. Did you try switching sort order? Mine is in reverse. Also, you didn't show your zone def for Australia.
but try sort order. If that doesn't work please explain what it actually does.
