    Send as known domain is set to yes.

    If I use smtpauth, I get the following error when emailing from Admin>Tools>Send Email:
    Error ERROR: Failed sending email to: "Test Customer" with subject: "test 2:27" The following From address failed: [email protected] : Called Mail() without being connected

    SMTP settings are as follows:
    SMTP Email Account Mailbox [email protected]
    SMTP Email Account Password ********
    SMTP Email Mail Host relay-hosting.secureserver.net
    SMTP Email Mail Server Port 25

    I read the info contained in your links, but did not find a solution.

    Thank you again for your help with this! Hopefully we can get it working.

    Would need to ask GoDaddy why your SMTP settings result in "not being connected". ie: ask them to confirm what the correct SMTP settings are for the email address you're using.

    Wow, okay, so mystery solved!

    So here's what worked for me:

    Admin>Config>E-mail Options>E-Mail Transport Method? sendmail-f
    SMTP Email Mail Host smtpout.secureserver.net
    SMTP Email Mail Server Port 3535

    And in the GoDaddy cPanel, go to Email>MX Entry>change from Local Mail Exchanger to Remote Mail Exchanger

    That's it.

    Still using the less secure sendmail -f option. Couldn't get it to work with smtpauth? Seems that with the server settings provided and your own username/password to send mail that it would all be a go to use the secure stmpauth protocol.
