Default Fastest way to upload attribute Model numbers under single option name

I need to add about 500 - 800 model numbers under a single attribute/option name....Anyone have an idea about the quickest way to get this up to server..?

    Thanks,

Number of ways, though what is being used that offers a model # with an attribute/option name? Default ZC offers one model # per product.

With my type of product..., you might look at an item, such as a hinge and rather than have a page for each model/size/attribute of a brand or type...i can list a particular hinge and then you have a pull down menu for the actual model that you want. This allows me to maintain the manufacturers own model numbers for a product on a single page.

So, if I understand correctly, you'r "model #" is actually an attribute. Normally added through the option values to an option name and then through the attribute controller.

If that is the case I might suggest. Either EasyPopulate version 4 (http://www.zen-cart.com/showthread.p...Support-Thread) or apsona.

EP4 would require each product to have a unique model#, but that could be accomplished with a relatively simple SQL query if not already set to get you by.

One word of cautiion though. If a single product has MANY such attributes, page load time may get affected.
