Duplicated product listing

I have a product listing that is already there for a while. And yesterday I was editing the attributes of this product, and I also adjusted some option names and option values. But then, somehow the product listing became two listings that are exactly the same. However, both of them have the same product ID, everything is the same. But from the zencart admin, it is still one listing. If I disable/enable this product item, both of the listing disappear/appear. What can I do to correct this? I still want to keep the same product ID. Please advice, thanks!

No, this product is not linked (no yellow radio indicator there). Also, when I copy or move this product to another category, it also show two product listings on our webpage. I think it has something to do with how the product listing page is generated, but I don't know which PHP file to check. Please advice.

Or, if I duplicate this product to be a new product (with new product ID), can I delete the first one, and change the product ID for the new one? Thanks.

I see 1 product out of 11 duplicated, but you originally sounded like the "whole list" of products in a category was duplicated as in 12 products because 24 products showing but they were two lists of 12 ...

Is this the only Category with 1 duplicate?

Not sure of the why this happened. (Could try to reproduce the actions described on another product and see if the same thing happens again), but it looks like the products_to_categories table has the same product listed twice. How familiar are you with working in phpMyAdmin? If you go to that table and search for product_id 485, does it show up in category 27 twice?

Sorry for the confusion. It is one product being listed twice.

One that page (for charcoal smokers), it say "Displaying 1 to 12 (of 12 products). But if you click any of the "heatermeter", it shows "Product 1/11".

Don't have the code in front of me, but that scenario could play out if on the product info page the table is queried using unique whereas on the product_listing page all product within the table is queired without using a unique call for the products in the category.Not sure that the call should be modified, because in this situation if the issue becomes repeatable on your site, if the result/effect is hidden, then the database will grow for each instance of this happening and could have a negative effect on other aspects of accessing the database. Ideally want to figure out why this occurred at least after resolving the current condition so that it doesn't happen again.So some things to help out with that would be to go through the posting tips that appear above aa message box when posting to the forum and not using the mobile template.
