Easy Populate 1.2.5.4 support

Easy Populate V4 is the way to go these days. The only thing I don't really like about it as that it uses CSV as the default filetype. Tab-delimited is a far better filetype.

However, if you use EP v.4 in conjunction with OpenOffice (rather than MS Excel) the CSV " delimiter is not so challenging an issue.

I have done a search for Easy Populate V4 and have 10 finds, nothing labelled Easy Populate V4. I have found one 'Easy Populate CSV' which I think is this one. anyway. it says you This will allow someone to add custom fields from the, configuration menu Configuration->Easy Populate->Custom Fields, no mine goes into tools/easy populate.

Am I missing something?
Am I installing the right one?
I would like to remove all traces of easy populate, any type that is installed.

Everything is working and all the options download or create the files in the tempEP directory with the exception of the
Download Complete .csv file to edit (Attributes Not Included) and the Create Complete .csv file in temp dir (Attributes Not Included)
Them I get the error WARNING: An Error occurred, please refresh the page and try again. Has anyone seen this and know the fix for it.

HI,

Just got to the bottom of this problem. It is all to do with the custom fields that are built into the script. If you dont have custom fields then it generates the SQL incorrectly and you get the error message. You will need to edit the easypopulate.php file that sits in the admin root directory. Around line 560 is where the problem starts.

I dont use custom fields and dont plan to do so, so i have simply removed the following from the SQL
".$custom_filelayout_sql." on line 599 - 601. Ensure you remove the 2 quotes aswell as everything in between. Savethefile and re-upload.

If you want to use custom fields then this will not be the solution for you but atleast it has identified the problem so hopefully it will help

Where I'm getting confused is the naming of the programs. On GetHub it's "EasyPopulate 4" but on Zen-Cart it's "Easy Populate 1.2.6". Are these the same programs or am I mixing apples with oranges here?

Apples and oranges...

Two separate programs. Whle some still use (try to use) this version, others have migrated to EP4...
