Default Please help recommend a responsive template for my website

I have a website up for years and I keep on being told that I need to make it more mobile-friendly. Each time I looked through the free responsive templates, I get lost and find they don't work for my website that well without TONS of customizations. I'm afraid once I leave the standard themes that I won't have the support available that I found by routinely googling my issues.
Anyway, could anyone recommend the easiest way for me to add in a mobile-friendly view on my website?
I have a photography website that sells panoramic images. Therefore I need wider images displayed and every listing has a *.jpg (1024px wide) *_MED.jpg (also 1024px wide) and a *_LRG.jpg (manually watermarked 3000px wide) and lots of attribute options pricing.
I am currently using zencart 1.3.9h and I went with the barebones theme and took basically everything I could out of the theme when I started many years ago.

Thanks so much for your help in advance!

I do believe this is why the Commercial Help Wanted section was re-opened.

Anne provides the best support for her FREE templates and the added community support for those templates are like no other.

The Responsive DIY Template Default for 1.5.x is as minimal as you will get.

Understand that responsive web design is designed to scale images down to the size of the browsers viewport. Keeping those sizes will severely hurt your load time on tablet and mobile devices.

You can also use a mobile template instead change your current template.

Thank you for your reply. Who is Anne?
I tried to install the "Simple Blue Responsive" free template and beginning to tweak it, but ran into a problem of my images being "Squished" in the width direction to fit within the center column when viewed on a mobile device.

Anne offers the majority of free templates - picaflor-azul

With her templates you can do 2 things, set the max width to a larger px so your images remain larger on desktops or change the img width to min-width so the images retain there widths.

I don't recommend either for tablets or mobile devices. The images should shrink to fit within the viewport.

    Augie:

The Winchester Responsive temple will best showcase your panoramic photos. https://www.zen-cart.com/downloads.php?do=file&id=1865

The image carousel uses 1600px wide images and I believe your wide photos are perfect.

Here it is in action on my site IchibanPet dot com

Granted, I did not set out to take wide photos, so yours will look better.

Its time for you to upgrade to the v155, anyway. More secure, and includes a responsive template already.
    Cheers!
