Is it possible to refresh the cached images? When i upload a replacement image (via sftp) with the name of an existing image I have to delete the old cached images to have new ones created. Don't know if facility already exists or if this is a new request?

IH will automatically regenerate a cached image if the last-modified date for the base file is more recent than that of its associated cached image. When you're uploading those replacement images, make sure that the date/time associated with that image is 'today' and you'll have no issues.

Barring that, you can use Image Handler's admin tool to reset your store's image-cache and all the cached images will be regenerated as they're needed.

I'm a little confused by a phrase in the installation instructions for this plug-in. The phrase says "Next, using an FTP program, upload the files from the 1_Installation_Files (v1.5.5) directory to your store's web-hosted root directory" Does that mean the root directory of the store or the root directory of the web hosting account? These are very different directories. Since the instructions also say to follow the steps exactly, I'm looking for some clarification before continuing.

Well, I figured it was more likely to mean the root directory of the store itself and not the webhost, so I proceeded on that basis. Although there wasn't any notice, I thought it did install as I now have the the config values under Configuration > Images.

I read through the documentation but have difficulty understanding how to actually add additional images (which was the purpose of my looking into this plugin). Now I wonder whether I've misunderstood what this does as instead of being able to add any new additional images, I can no longer view the additional images I already uploaded to my images folder for a few test products.

I am also unable to see or add images through the Image Handler screen (i.e. go to products, click new icon for managing images, select category, then select product). I can see details about the product and there are headings for a list of images but no images, even though images were uploaded and added when I created the product initially. There is no button or method to add any image and when I click the button to edit the product, I get a blank white screen.

I'm guessing I messed something up when I tried to install this plug-in or else something else is wrong with my set up. Thankfully this is all on a development store - no real customers or store admins.

Hmmm... not sure where to look to try to troubleshoot. Maybe just uninstall and go back to regular additional images functionality.

Well, I did a little bit o digging into the log files and I see the problem may be one of memory. Here is what is in the admin log after I try to view a product in the IH5 manager:

    Code:
PHP Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 33554432 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 10200 bytes) in /path/to/my/store/includes/classes/bmz_image_handler.class.php on line 826.
The test images I am using are pretty large. Could that be the issue?

@earmsby, could you provide me with a link to one of those "pretty large" images so that I can test myself? If you don't want to post a link publically, send me a PM.

I've got a v5.1.3 release staged (currently in beta) that corrects this issue; see this (https://github.com/DivaVocals/zen_Im...ler/issues/151) GitHub issue for details.

    Zen Cart 1.5.6a
    Database Patch Level: 1.5.6
    PHP Version: 7.2.17 (Zend: 3.2.0)

    <<modules>>
    backup_mysql
    encrypted_master_password
    keep_cart
    numinix-google-analytics
    remember me
    usu-3.0
    Image Handler 5
    SitemapXML

I had noticed before that some "larger image" were starting to show under some of my original pictures without additional images.... but now I see some "larger image" show up that are not even the same item.

So, I have a certain items that have pictures names that are similiar except the end is a product number like

    zen-cart-module.jpg
    zen-cart-module-777.jpg
    zen-cart-module-386.jpg
    zen-cart-module-sku-999-zc.jpg

Well... now the 777, 386 and 999 are showing up under the original image as larger images and I can only think that this module would probably be doing this?

I guess the question would be ... how do I stop the module from trying to find extra pictures that are not really related.... it is looking too hard for extra pictures. Or am I wrong and the updated Zen Cart is now looking too hard for extra pictures?

    Thank you!
