Support Thread for Google reCAPTCHA plugin

Im sure that this has been answered before, but I have no luck in finding this using google search, and this thread has over 23 pages to search from....

I installed the plugin 'Google reCAPTCHA for Zen Cart v3.4' on 'Zen Cart v1.3.7.1', using the instructions for Instalation for Zen Cart Versions prior to 1.5.1 and a little refactoring to remove namespace as the client is using php4. I am aware that its an old version, and advicing me to update is not a good answer, unless you know for sure that this will not work on php4. I got it to load on the contact us page but the captcha is not verifying the captcha. The form is submitable when the box is completely ignored. I skimped some of the answers here but they have not worked, does anyone have any experience with this, the solution is deffinitely a big plus.

Such an old set-up, you won't like my answer, so I'll keep it to myself. Using Zen Cart 1.3.7.1 and PHP4 is simply too old for me to even be able to troubleshoot.

Do you have any resources that you would recommend that might help with this? my assumption is that something in the header is not verifying the response from google. But my knowledge in zen cart is pretty limited at the moment.

I'm sorry, I don't. I don't have php4 installed anywhere to even test.

I installed this and everything looks good. But when I attempt to test it NOT CHECKING recaptcha box, the message is sent successfully

Please read the posting guidelines. You have not provided enough information for me or anyone else to help you out.

So Jim what is it exactly that you think is the critical missing tidbit of info that you need, since the plugin is compatible with all versions from 1.39?

The installation varies based upon the Zen Cart version you have so I can't possibly suggest what you did wrong unless you share what version, what steps you followed, what you have tried, any error logs, PHP version, did you check for template override files,....

I had some 2 files that I had overwritten by mistake. works great. It was working on all of my other sites. so I decided to check each file of the add-on.
