Page disappeared from navigation after editing with Define pages editor

I edited the About Us page with page editor in admin, saved and when I go to look in site it disappeared from navigation!.
Probably some code is missing.
Please post missing code.

Have you checked the site's /logs directory? I'm guessing that as part of that editing a PHP-related error has been introduced.

Unlikely, php continued working fine, all tests reporting syntax OK.
I think I found the error, the editor only changes text and saves what is written.
But there is php code that sets the place in the navbar, and that is found in /includes'languages/english/lang.about_us.php.
So, should I use the editor or edit file manually?

What editor are you using? Is it ckeditor? That editor has a mode that allows editing of the source code, which is the mode you would want in such a situation. Our switch to a plain text editor before trying to open the file for editing.

I think that swguy makes a point of updating files whose names were changed in 1.5.8a.
Here is a nice example.
This is what I will do, take a backup of site make changes and see, if works post here.

I set CKeditor in Configuration but don't know how to launch it.
I would like to use it because of the options it allows.
So, 2 questions ;
How launch CKeditor (My initials)?
Do you agree with my choice of file to edit?

Once you're set CKEDITOR as your default HTML Editor (Configuration :: My Store :: HTML Editor), it'll show up as the (er) default when editing products, categories, EZ-Pages, Define Pages, etc. Essentially, anywhere that you might want to include HTML content.

Please understand that I do all the editing in my local webserver installed in my computer, so files don't open in CK editor unless it is installed in my system, which I did just now , let me take it for a spin and will be back here

I have two test sites:one with zencart without the demo install, and the other one that does have it(zendemo.com).
So this is what happened after I started looking for the about us page in zendemo com , I did found some pages, but none related to the edited page and no page in the navbar.
So I fumbled around, including posting this stupid thread, and installing all sorts of developer tools to find the page, my frustration only grew so I decided to do the brute force approach, I wiped out the site and restored the original install, went back in time and it worked, but I was stunned to see that there was no about us page.
How was this possible? then I realized my stupidity: simply there is no about us page in the demo install, there are only categories and products.
So, yes, I definitely have dementia worse than Biden.
Please accept my apologies everybody, it is embarrassing I know.
