Zen v1.5.2-BETA
Out of the blue my website says "Error establishing a database connection". I made no changes.
I can still log into Zen Cart Admin.
Any ideas?

I will bet money that your host updated PHP version breaking your site.
I should probably say it before the regulars come in and cut and paste the "your site is ancient, you should upgrade" - Zen Cart v1.5.2 is compatible with PHP 5.3.7 through PHP 5.6 (or PHP 5.2.14+ with weakened security).

Actually, I would qualify 1.5.2 BETA as pre-ancient.

From Hostmonster. What does this even mean?
"On checking the website https://www.fundametals.net/, I found that it was showing database error and I found that the database of the website deleted."
well, that doesn't make any sense, if you can still get into the admin.
Compare the includes/configure.php and the YOUR_ADMIN/includes/configure.php for the database connection settings.

Can you tell me where to look for these? Pretend I am 5 years old.![]()
These two files are under the root level of your cart installation.

I'm sorry but that does not help me. Am I supposed to find these files under my Cpanel File Manager?
Further from Hostmonster:
Further on checking the wp-config.php of the Website I found that the website have database entry as thj_as_dk_db, Here is the codes which are present in the wp-config.php:
<?php
// ** MySQL settings ** //
define('DB_NAME', 'thj_as_dk_db'); // The name of the database
define('DB_USER', 'thj_as_dk'); // Your MySQL username
define('DB_PASSWORD', 'gitte02'); // ...and password
define('DB_HOST', 'mysql2.unoeuro.com'); // 99% chance you won't need to change this value
define('DB_CHARSET', 'utf8');
define('DB_COLLATE', '');
Further I was unable to find the website database thj_as_dk_db in the all three backup, It looks like the website have remote database, It is advised to contact the developer, Please note: We are server admin support team and as we are not trained as website developers our ability to troubleshoot customized files is rather limited. Any troubleshooting will have to be done by a developer as we cannot take liability for the functionality of your scripts.
