Fresh install error

I did a fresh install on my localhost and my host , renamed the config files and set the to 755
When i go to my localhost i get a blank page, when i go to localhost/zc_install/index.php i get a 500 error
Using php 8.0 , latest zc version 1.5.7, no plugins site url is www.mysurplus.ca but can't run the install.

Why in the world are you doing a fresh install of zc157 which was released over 4 years ago on 2020-06-23, instead of zc201 which was released 2024-05-19?

Because i searched for zencart download and that is what i came up with. I am on the github site and there is no download link to the latest version so i am lost as to where to even download it

Also, to download from github, look at the right where it says Releases. Under that it says 2.0.1. You can click on that and download a .zip file.
