    Default Encapsulated Plugin

    I upgraded from 2.0.1 to 2.1.0.

The Encapsulated Plugins process is much better that the original copy past process where mistakes are commonly causing headaches some times, however most of the plugins that I use do not have and Encapsulated Plugin.

Would you recommend just continuing with the old method or create your own Encapsulated plugin script?

It depends on the complexity of the existing, non-encapsulated plugins. For the relatively easy ones, I'll suggest going down the creation of an encapsulated version path.

In an ideal world the Zen Cart files would be one thing and the plugins another. 100% separate.

If you think your modification would be of use to most people, why not try and get it into the core files (GitHub).

If not, the advantage of making an encapsulated plugin is having all the functionality in one place, instead of scattered about.
But, if it's only a couple of new files, maybe it's not worth the effort....or you could consolidate all your minor mods in one plugin.
