    When they stated "not Unix" that should have told you to run from them, not walk.

    And you cannot install plug-ins without their permission. Not acceptable.

    You likely don't have any controls such as cpanel. Don't waste your time fussing with this. Move to another hosting provider.

    A: No. The "priority" hint in your Sitemap only indicates the importance of a particular URL relative to other URLs on your own site.

    The priority of this page relative to other pages on the same site. The value is a number between 0.0 and 1.0, where 0.0 is the lowest priority and 1.0 is the highest priority. The priority can affect the order that search engines select URLs to explore on your site. Since the priority is relative, it is only used to select between URLs within your own site; the priority of your pages will not be compared to the priority of pages on other sites.

    You can change the priority hint under configuration / Google xml sitemap
    I don't see Google xml sitemap under configuration. It is only under Tools, and there is no place to change the priority hint. Can you help further explain this?

    If it was installed properly you will see it under configuration.

    Configuration >>>> Google XML Sitemap

    Depending on what theme you are using, you might need to scroll down to view it.

    Thanks. I install an update SQL patch and it shows up in the Configuration. I have question about Cron job: what do I put in front of
    wget http://www.magicdigitalframes.com/go...p.php?ping=yes to have it generate and ping google automatically? How frequent? and at what time?

    Thanks.

    hi guys,

    i have installed this contribution, it works without any problems in the meaning that i receive no error messages, also all xml files are being created smootly.

    however when i checked created xml files i found that data are not correct.
    here is an example of product data listing in sitemapproducts.xml file:

    <url>
    <loc>http://www.netgifts.biz/index.php?main_page=product_music_info&amp;products_id=188</loc>
    <lastmod>2006-07-14</lastmod>
    <changefreq>weekly</changefreq>
    <priority>0.5</priority>
    </url>

    that listing leads to an empty page at my website because of incorrect separator ";" - there should by "&".

    my categories in sitemapcategories.xml file are generated by the same wrong way ...

    any ideas why the xml files are being created incorrectly?

    thank you very much for any suggestions...

    Hi guys.

    Wonderful tool this Google Sitemap Admin. However, I got it to work on a smaller site with some 500 products, but not on a site with some 20.000 products.

    1. I added the sql patch and made the xml files 777, but it still does nothing.

    2. I tried making the limit of number of links and size bigger, but to no avail.

    I can tell the php is doing something, i.e. making the query and working, since it takes quite a while before the "Done" pops up in the window. However the "Done-page" is blank and the xml files are still 0 size.

    Any suggestions?

    And to answer a question:

    Go here: http://www.google.com/webmasters/sit...temapXMLFormat

    and scroll down to "Entity escaping". Your site map is not generated wrong. It is generated correct for the GoogleBot.

    Also there is a space here:
    ".... product<space>s_id=188" ,

    which I'm guessing shouldnt be there.

    Hi there, I downloaded the attachment but when I try to unzip it, it asks for a password. Can you please let me know what the password is?

    Thanks!

    Try to add
    PHP Code:
    set_time_limit(0);
    after
    PHP Code:
    require_once('includes/application_top.php');
    in googlesitemap.php.
