Product Listing Problem..??

For some reason, every item I add to my store has this option:

Products Quantity Box Shows:

is globally set to "No, Do not show Quantity Box"

I need it to be "yes", but this options is enabled everywhere I look for it.


This has to be a global setting I am missing..what might it be??

At this test stage..ohh..~3870 products, and...maybe its hard to say on categories, the ezpopulate spreadsheet to BUILD them was 8500 rows long.

But the way EZP works in this version is sorta silly, I gotta burn these lines in the excel file to get the full path

Brake pads
Brake pads~porterfield
Brake pads~porterfield~ford
Brake pads~porterfield~ford~mustang
Brake pads~porterfield~ford~mustang~90-95
Brake pads~porterfield~ford~mustang~90-95~5.0

SO..is does that end up as 1 category, or..6? :)

But, I count about 8,083 categories.

Break away..and with all due respect (not a complaint..really)..where in the development track are enhancements for large item sites?

The GOOD news is that the category structure is set..I think. If its not too confusing for someone to browse for their car, and then end up seeing 4 or 5 brands of front & rear brake pads..



But..I pretty much have to have this category tree duplicated against 3-4 manufacturers I think, or its too messy to find what youre looking for without ordering the wrong thing.

I have endless fields of excel sheets for all of this..just ZC gets all fuzzy when told to work with it. :)

Okay I increased the Admin time for:

Admin Set max_execution_time for processes
Enter the time in seconds for how long the max_execution_time of processes should be. Default=60
Example: 60= 1 minute

Note: Changing the time limit is only needed if you are having problems with the execution time of a process

And took it up to 180 ...

The page finally drew all of your cats ...

Go try and put the right Categories on Sale ...

NOTE: that dropdown for Categories has the big red X next to it ... click it ... that is a per session in the admin switch to turn off the monster dropdown ...

There are a few other settings to change to ... I have to see if I added more switches to manage those in this version or if those were going in the next version ...

So many switches ... so little time ...

We try to work on new things with each release in regard to speed or new toys ...

The Featured Wish list is handy if you include in there the size of your Categories, Products, Attributes and the things that cause you grief or things you do or wish you could do so we are more aware of needs ...

Many times, we already know and have something in the works for it ...

Knowing there is a victim such as yourself makes it interesting as perhaps a chat to speed up areas of your site where issues exist can either be explained or built in over time ...

The Admin is scheduled for a lot of work in the several of the upcoming point releases ...

Customization is also available ... how hard is it to bribe us? We never take bribes ... ever ... but money talks ...

Ya..youve helped in the past, but funds are tighter than they used to be.

However..once I get everything online, im not against setting up a parallel store for you guys to play with and wonder "oh hell.."

Last issue..the original point of this thread.

How do I adjust that global setting?
