Digi, I'm sorry that I wasn't here to help more, but I work right by my house, and I had 2 go right after my last post.
I see you got it up and running. Looking good. I"m guessing that you also resolved the text color problem, by now, as I'm not seeing blue text.
Now, it gets fun, and I mean that in a good way, as if you're like me, I really enjoy all the customizing, adding the different mods, boxes, and just over-all, making everything my own.
So, have fun, and NEVER be afraid to ask ANY question about ZenCart (see my signatur) to this wonderfully, helpful, and 99% of the time, friendly forum of people, as the answer is ALWAYS eventually found by someone.

BTW, if you haven't already checked it, you'll be happy to know that the speed report for your site showed that the total download time for your home page is only 9.02 seconds (recommended 8 or less) over a 56k connection, with only a couple of size warnings:

TOTAL_OBJECTS - Warning! The total number of objects on this page is 13 - consider reducing this to a more reasonable number. Combine, refine, and optimize your external objects. Replace graphic rollovers with CSS rollovers to speed display and minimize HTTP requests.

CSS_SIZE - Warning! The total size of your external CSS is 13393 bytes, which is over 8K. Consider optimizing your CSS for size by eliminating whitespace, using shorthand notation, and combining multiple CSS files where appropriate.

Not bad. Good job. Nice looking site (now, huh?)
Have you considered using Image Handler for your images? You've got some nice images that Image Handler would would accent with hover pop-ups on your home page. If you haven't saw it work, click here, and see what I'm talking about.

But, anyway, I'm proud to see that you've got everything up and running.

Thank you for the compliemts. I thought that the site turned out okay:) There are still some adjustments to make.

I appreciate all your help. I am sure that it gets tedious tryinh to help a newbie, but I am grateful for your patience.

I do have a couple of quick questions...

    1. How were you able to check the speed? As in this quote

BTW, if you haven't already checked it, you'll be happy to know that the speed report for your site showed that the otal download time for your home page is only 9.02 seconds (recommended 8 or less) over a 56k connection, with only a couple of size warnings:

    2. What editor are you using to check the ToTal OBJECTS and CSS Size? I only use notepad, so I am not sure where you are finding this info..but I do find it helpful. Thank you.

If you use FireFox web browser, and download the Web Developers Toolkit, you can get speed reports on your (or any other) site that you're on, you can view the CSS, you can view literally ANYTHING about the page you're viewing, including any information about any blocks, elements, and hundreds more features.
Just say you couldn't find out where to remove the space around your header (that's a VERY common issue in this forum, asked a thousand times), you simply view your page, and click on Information>Display ID & Class Details, and you will instantly see the EXACT place you need to edit in you stylesheet to take care of this (see image taken from your site with this feature turned on).
Once you ever use it, you can't live without it, as long as you're building a website such as ZenCart. That's not only a promise, but a fact!

Oh, yea, digi, I forgot......here's the URL (click here)of the speed report of your site, so you can see ALL the information for yourself. There's only about a hundred things that the speed report alone shows you.
    And you say WOW!!!!!, huh?

Oh...thanks. I don't use FireFox. Is there anything similar for Internet Explorer?

    Thanks it sounds interesting.

I think IE is trying something similar, but Firefox is a free download. Get the web developer tools (also free). You can change things in the the stylesheet to see the effect on the fly. You'll have to copy your changes and save them since Firefox won't let you do it (or you'd be able to change people's websites), but it can be a great help when you're trying to figure out why something's a certain color or size.

digi, I know what you mean about not using anything other than IE, as I too, was a die hard fan of IE's, until I discovered how much all of these tools helped me on my site development.
And, no, IE doesn't have anything at all like this for developers, as (dare I say it in here?), Microsoft don't want the general population to develop ANYTHING on their own. They want you to buy everything, including Office, from them, so they can charge you 50 times the price of what it's worth, and 10 times harder to use, whereas, if you stick to open source software that's built by the people, for the people, you can have 50 times better tools, that's easier to understand an use .....and the best part......it doesn't cost you anything to use other than an occasional contribution, here and there.

Oops. Sorry. That's just one of my little pet peeves. I'll quit.

As far links in the signature, just go to User CP (at the top of ANY page in this forum), edit signature. There you will find an HTML AREA like this one, that you can put anything in there that you want. I theink it's limited to 500 characters, though.

digi, just wanted to make clear that, under NO circumstances, was I at all flaming you, but (here's that word, again) Microsoft. Sorry you had to see (read) my bad side.
But.....good news!!.......I've now woke up, had 3 cups of Joe (so far), and I'm MUCH better, now.

But in reality, if you're going to be developing a web site, you've GOT to have both browsers, as what looks like a perfect site to you in IE, might look like crap in FF (or visa-versa), as each browser interprets things differently, which could have a HUGE effect on sales with FF users. If the site don't look professional, well, we all know what happens there......customers leave.
