User tracking mod

Hi All,
Just tried installing this contrib and ran into an SQL error. I followed the install instruction and tried to apply the patch through phpmyadmin. It seems that the patch won't apply this way if you are using a prefix for tables in your database.

However the problems was easily fixed by applying the patch through admin > Tools > Install Sql Patches. This seems to append the table prefix to the sql query.

just though you might want to know.

Hi again,
I love the contrib. Great work.

I am interested in filtering / excluding results based on my HOST not IP (as I have a dynamic IP that seems to change very regularly).

Has anyone had success with this? I think it would be a great feature.

Or alternativly, has anyone worked out a neat way to analyze the information? Perhaps find out some stats, turn the data into reports. etc.

When I try to install the sql patch, I get the following error:

DELETE FROM ol_configuration WHERE ol_configuration_group_id = '999';

MySQL said: Documentation
#1054 - Unknown column 'ol_configuration_group_id' in 'where clause'

Any ideas?

This method fixed my problem. It's misleading b/c the readme says to use phpMyAdmin

Is anyone else getting this with the user tracking. When you are just browsing through the categories, each page is recorded in the user tracking as page not found. If you click on an item it will record the item. But everything in between comes up page not found.

nice mod...lots of chatter...I do have an issue though....

I blocked my IP but it didnt block it. I ask it to purge all records for this IP and it doesnt....is there another setting or something that would enable the IP functions?

This mod has gone through a number of permutations (from Petter and JeffD) but it works for me on Zen Cart 1.37. I have a few minor issues, and others have reported design issues with the mod, but overall it is a tool that I would not want to be without.

I have not observed your error and have never observed previous similar report in this thread.

My first recommend is to uninstall and then reinstall the mod. And then see if the IP is getting written to the user_tracking table in the ZC database.

Are you certain you added the proper entry to the common footer template to record full tracking info to the database?

Several months ago Andrew stated he would merge the best of Super Tracker utility, the User Tracking mod, and some other mods together, to develop a full featured tracking mod for Zen Cart but it appears Andrew has dropped out of the Zen Cart community completely this time.

To obtain a more complete picture, besides reading this entire thread, you may want to also read the archived thread.

In the install read me it says you have to have the original mod from jeffd installed first. Any idea where I can find that install?? The link in the 1st post of this email no longer works.
