    Humm, yes -- we're also getting "Sorry but a technical problem has occurred when attempting to contact the Payment Gateway."

    I've raised a bug with Protx and await their reply (they are not answering their phone lines!)

    It's impossible to get through to Protx's tech support at the minute...

    Can anyone confirm if their sites still aren't working, i.e. that Protx is still down?

    (For us, the test server is working ok at the minute and the live server is successfully rejecting our invalid tests so appears to be okay also).

    Thanks for any info... hopefully the Protx problems are resolved now!

    Hmmm,

    It would appear that things aren't working at the moment... the VSP admin has a message stating that "PROTX Payment Services are current unavailable"..

    Seems they are so unavailable that they don't have time for proper grammar in their error message!

    Also, live transactions won't go through for us here... is anyone up and running?

    I'm afraid that Protx's changeover hasn't gone very smoothly!

    They must be changing something as now all of the sites error messages have changed from "Sorry but a technical problem has occurred when attempting to contact the Payment Gateway." to "Your card could not be authorised!"

    Also the VSP => The PROTX Systems are currently down for maintenance. Please try again later when the systems are back online.

    Response time is perfect. Just the errors back

    What are others getting? I'll keep you updated with JSWeb's progress.

    That's exactly the same behaviour we are getting. What a mess.

    Protx really have to do better than this!

    (Just to let people know, this is occurring with all versions of the module, upgrading to 3.2.0 is still recommended).

    Hi,

    My site is having the same problem this morning. the only order went through is 4.58 am this morning, then no of orders has gone through, and error message appears same as in other threads, do not know when Protx will sort it out.

    Current System Messages
    VSP System Upgrade

    01 August 2007 09:47:45 - We regret to inform you that no transactions can currently be processed through the Live payment gateway while we perform urgent and essential maintenance work.

    This was not forseen and we, again, apologise for the disruption to services.

    01 August 2007 09:15:24 - Following the upgrade we unfortunately are experiencing performance issues with transaction processing.

    You may find transactions are taking a long time to process or that payment pages are unavailable.

    Please be assured that we are investigating this as a matter of urgency.

    Our apologies for this disruption to normal services.

    Latest update from Protx:

    01 August 2007 11:22:36 - We regret to inform you that the Live payment gateway remains unavailable.

    We sincerely apologise for the ongoing disruption and are endeavouring to resolve the problem as an urgent priority.

    At this stage we are unable to give you an exact time when services will be fully up and running but we will update this page as soon as we have an indication.

    Thank you for your continued patience.
    This upgrade is a total shambles! None of the payment pages are currently available. Surely this was tested before going live?

    Agreed... as you might have seen, we had troubles ourselves yesterday with our planned upgrades... so we delayed until we had everything tested and running (even though the problem turned out to be a server issue and nothing to do with our work).. you would think a much larger company like Protx would have the same sense!

    Anyway... the world's a strange place!
