Newsletter-Only Subscriptions for v1.3x

After further investigations, I realized that the confirm link only fails to appear in HTML subscriptions. The link shows up fine in the text-only welcome email.

This mod installed perfectly, except that the font in the sidebox is larger than the font in the other sideboxes! I tried to find where the font size is being defined or altered, and had no luck..

Any ideas?

So I am getting that 1267 error:

1267 Illegal mix of collations (latin1_general_ci,IMPLICIT) and (latin1_swedish_ci,IMPLICIT) for operation 'locate'
in:

and I found the posts where someone suggested a fix, but I do not understand what to do as far as editing tables via phpAdmin... I am also getting this same error when just trying to send a normal email via zencart Admin...

I've tried to get newsletter subscribe 2.0.6 to work with zen cart 1.3.7 using the Apple_zen template without success. Has anyone else had any luck using it with this template?

After long time i just your module,i see it is a great modules but when i get some spamer in that box.I can delete all of them at 1 times.I must delete each record,and it make me take a lot of time...

I have installed this mod and it's working perfectly. The only problem I'm having is I want to change the header to an image instead of the text link like all my other side boxes.

I have changed all the other side box headers using the solutions here in the FAQ's https://www.zen-cart.com/tutorials/i...hp?article=135 but am under where to change it for this one.

If anyone could tell me what to change it would be most appreciated.

I have installed the mod and find that the Newsletter title is a link with [more] to the right. not so bad BUT the link goes to the REVIEWS page?????

I see that jayenne says his "mystery Newsletter [more]" link goes to the Reviews page, the sidebox above his Newsletter sidebox. On my site, the "mystery Newsletter [more]" link goes to the New Products page, which happens to be the sidebox above my Newsletter sidebox.

Can't be a coincidence. Some bad code elsewhere? I've searched endlessly through the files and used the search feature in Admin tools for text, but I simply can't find a file that is causing this href link code to be enabled.

BTW, ideally, I'd like no link there at all. In fact, I'm fairly certain it didn't used to be like this in 1.3.5, but now that I've updated, this has appeared.

EDIT: Here's a workaround, not a fix. I changed the sort order of the sideboxes to something else acceptable. That got rid of the "mystery Newsletter [more]" link , though you can still see a broken version on jayenne's site. Is that a helpful clue?

Looks like a bug. In includes/modules/sideboxes/YOUR_TEMPLATE/subscribe.php add..

$title_link = false; 

...after where it says...

$title =  BOX_HEADING_SUBSCRIBE; 

so you then have...

$title =  BOX_HEADING_SUBSCRIBE;
$title_link = false;
$left_corner = false; 

That should fix it.
