Free postage would certainly encourage me to think about ordering, but not if I don't know about it!

Only if you stay at the top of the home page for a significant amount of time... which I didn't and would say many others won't either. Once you click through to a category you have no information about postage costs and I think this will be putting customers off buying off you. If you hadn't told me on this forum, I really wouldn't have had any idea what your postage costs were from "normal" usage of the site (everyone's usage is different so obviously I can only call my own usage style "normal". :) )

My two suggestions would be to make the free postage offer more visible by putting it on more pages and reducing the amount of time it takes for your animation to go from "sale" to "free postage" and to always keep the most up to date postage information on your shipping page... at the minute the information on it differs from your actual postage!
