Sorry, should've put that in the post to begin with.
I've just installed this mod and it appears to work except for the fonts not looking quite right.
It appears to be some sort of default font instead of the TrueType fonts. Looking back through this thread, I think Woodymon was having a similar problem, but I don't know what he did to fix it, if it ever did get fixed.
Are you still watching Woody?

ok I have grown tired of trying to find the source of this problem.
as explained above in the quote, captcha is not randomizing the characters right on my site.
it is usually the same character like this
JJJJJJ or 111111, and occasionally KTTTTT, hopefully you all follow what I'm saying. It could be any character or number but this is how they are displaying.
it has been a little disturbing to my visitors as it show weakness in my security measures.
my site is http://www.cjcrafts.com if you would like to see what I'm talking about. I would really appreciate some help on this one I'm totally lost now.
cjcrafts, I'm not sure what's wrong with your Captcha, but the background image is different too. Compare against this:

I take it you tried uninstalling and reinstalling everything? What other mods are you running?
Can I also make a suggestion? Your site looks great, but it took me a while to go to your listing of products. You should list the categories on the left column also, and perhaps make the top bars stand out more.
Thats is interesting about the image.
yes I have tried uninstalling the database & installing, and uploading the files again, with no avail. I would not be surprised one bit if it is a conflict of some fashion with another mod, as it was working fine,
and suddenly I noticed it was acting goofy.
I also thank you for your insight into my site navigation and have began changes in regard to it. it makes perfect sense
what you suggested.
Here is a list of mods I have installed:
supertracker
return authorization
recover cart sales
image handler
shipping & order export
backup mysql
google sitemaps
links manager - have modified version that will allow banners to be installed after this problem is resolved
multigeozone multitable shipping
I believe this is a complete list but I am recalling from memory.
"Enable this picture" problem.
Have searched this thread but when initially visiting the site with captcha enabled the image doesn't show and IE blocks saying it has stopped the content form loading because of a security certificate error.
You can enable the blocked content but this may put off visitors, is there a way for it just to load without the security warning?? Same happens in firefox.
any help would be appreciated.
found the problem ssl certificate belonged to www.mysite.com and my config was setup without as mysite.com
Welp, yet another week with no success on this issue. I have uninstalled, removed the files manually one at a time, reuploaded from a fresh downloaded copy from the downloads section, (Three Times as a matter of fact). and still it's acting funny as described. I am at a total loss and am considering dropping it totally.
I am not code savvy enough to even think about toying with the code on this one.
Has anyone else even heard of this hapenning before?
Is there anyone out there willing to help me figure it out?
F.Y.I. I have been fighting with this issue for just about a month now.
