Easy embed template

first a clarification: Urbanix if you want to call your template file template.php or catalog.php go ahead, the files just needs to have the mark up for your site in it. If you want to have additional php functions running in it please do so.

second a question: EarlyFloyd, could I get a url or a screen shot of what it supposed to look like (you can use lorem ipsom text for where teh ZC is supposed to be), and of what it looks like now.
Also on page 8 of this forum there is an updated release that may fix your issue.

I have performed the install again (just to be certain), but am sorry to report that the results are the same as before.

Well after a truly blonde moment, I got the template to work.. Next step is to test how my embbeded file works..

One small problem.. I've got this text showing at the top of my store

' . $sitetemplate_bottom); ?>

Can you tell me in language a three year old can understand how to fix this?? LOL

I'm sure whatever it is, that it's something really minor..

Don't hold your breath, I don't think anyone outside of Brian21 can do that including the author of the easy embed, doing is one thing making it simple for others to understand and showing examples of it working so we can follow the bouncing ball seems to be one of the discouraging parts of this forum. In MHO Zen cart developer's should require any downloads be proven with a demo site like Dr. Byte's and example code that works for the version of the cart that is intended for, along with the person's who will supply the support and indicate if it's free or cost money. You can spend weeks searching this forum only to find the guy has disappeared or no longer supports his upgrade.

So I read this whole series of rants, and decided to reserve judgement/comments until I had a chance to try this out for myself.

So here's my conclusion: While this solution is certainly not for novices, I am not a coding geek AT ALL, and yet I have managed to effectively, seemlessly and fairly EASILY use this template without nearly HALF the drama of the chas1 husband and wife team.. I certainly hope that they finally worked out their issues, but IMO, this is an AWESOME contribution and merely requires some understanding of some ZenCart basics in order to use it..

BTW - Urbanx's instructions are my BIBLE for using this contribution..
