Hi All,

Anybody has trouble filtering the bots out wth the latest version (2.105) from the Zencart downloads area?

I see the Google bot being at 400+ hits, yesterday I had the same with the Yahoo crawler.

I changed the tpl_footer.php code to:

<?php if (ZEN_CONFIG_USER_TRACKING == 'true' && !$spider_flag) { zen_update_user_tracking(); } ?>

(note the spider_flag addition, it used to be like this with previous versions, seems to be removed from 2.105).

It does not seem to work. This change worked with previous versions of this mod.

Any ideas?

Hi,

I am trying to use Seo Urls 3.0.0-beta1 with zen cart 1.38a. It works for a short period of time then turns off literally. I go into my configurations and somehow it is off. It wouldn't be a problem if I had the time to turn it on every 5 min or so :-P.

a_jagawat & Doodlebuckets...did you ever get USU 3 beta working on your GoDaddy hosting accounts? I'm having the same problem...works great on my development server, but the moment I upload and enable it on the production server at GoDaddy, all the links spit out 404s. Not totally surprising given that GoDaddy seems to employ non-standard configurations. I just wish I could figure out what's breaking the mod rewrite (which does work with other rules I've tried).

SupuS - check your HTACCESS file setup, as ALL pages currenctly lead to the same 404 page by the look of it. This could just be that the HTACCESS needs to be updated.

Stargre - the menu in the admin is stored in the database. Firstly, check that the database contains the menu if you can. This is can be found in the configuration_groups table. You then uses this ID to find all the configuration values within the configuration table, with this group ID. If there are no records here at all, it suggests that the SEO classes are not being called correctly. Which version of the SEO are you using, and can you post a link to your store?

I am having this same issue. I checked and there are records with my SEO group ID in the configuration table. I am using version 2.0 of the SEO URLS, and am using ZenCart 1.3.8a. The store can be found at www.bellaraine.com

Hmmm...nevermind, this is bizarre, but the menu is now showing up! Could going into the database have somehow triggered that? Very odd, but at least it's working now!

With the database records, they are all installed in the database with the same script, so if they are in the configuration table, they should also ne in the configuration_group table. Once there is a record in teh configuration_group, this is used to populate the admin menus.

The records only appear in the database, once the SEO module has been installed, and a page has been visited, and the class initiated for the first time. It may be that this first visit hadn't been completed when you checked into the admin.
